Homophobia/Homophobe/etc... How do you feel about these terms?

The terms and definitions are fine.
The words themselves are over used to describe reactions that don't fall in those parameters.
The function of language and buzz words and what pop culture uses them for changes meanings of words.
IE after the movie The Full Monty most people assume the full Monty refers to taking your clothes off when in reality it used to mean going to Montgomery Brooks and getting ALL dressed up head to toe in their clothes.
So the only problem I have with it is the overuse of it in a inappropriate way.

i like your question better though... i think it's just a slightly more PC alternative to "anti-gay"... (sounds more scientific with the greek roots)

I'm sort of confused as to what your stance on homosexuality is, Viper (not that it's all that relevent).

But I'd think you would support the homosexual lifestyle seeing as you post a link to this picture quite a lot. And I don't think it's because you especially like Sony headphones.

I believe it's wrong. Normally the whole two girl thing doesn't appeal to me at all, but that picture is cool.

Actually, I kind of agree with you. I have been out of school for a while, and discussions like this help me try to keep my mind sharp.

If I am labeled a racist, sexist or homophobe, I think that there should be a clear definition of what that means.

As several people have mentioned, definitions change over time and sometimes new words are invented. Doesn't 'homo' mean 'same' in Greek - as in homogenized, homologous, etc.?
That would make 'homophobia' the fear of sameness.
