Honda Accord maintenance forum??

Just wonder if there is any forum for Honda Accord maintenance? I want to know how many miles do people change their timing belt of their accords. I also know if there is any good mechanics in my area

my mechanic asked me to change my timing belt, but i think they may be bogus because i think timing belt is not required to change until 120k, while my car has only 90k miles on it.

I know my 1996 Subaru Legacy maininace schedule says to change the timing belt every 60k miles. It was at 125k when I finally got it done, along with the water pump, all oil seals, etc. I paid $400 at the dealer for all that.

I have a 2001 Honda Accord V6 sedan and changed mine at 110,000 miles, which the service person at the Honda dealership told me to do so.

Yeah...they know me and know I know Subaru's, so I always seem to get 20% off. Parts and labor. They do a good job.

On my 2004 Ford Escape I cannot find any info on when the timing chain needs replaced.

it may depend on what year accord you have, but I've always heard to change them at 60K on Honda's. That said, I didn't change the one on my wife's 96 Accord until 140K miles. Was rolling the dice for sure...

Timing chains do not need to be changed like timing belts.
