And yes, my 150,000 mile Camry is 10 years and still kicking like new. Why ditch what works well and pick up new car payments when my car has every amentity I need (leather, moonroof, 10-disc CD changer, power everything, keyless, cruise and gets 30MPG)

I like cars, so I post about cars. If you've got a problem with it, GTFO

you can put whatever joke, but the only reason the foreign car companies are where they are is because originally they were getting their asses kicked, and then the tides turned, domestic companies are currently getting a lot better and a lot of people are domestic whores, however, if domestics get a lot better, then you could see the tides turn again and then i dont know what will happen, this is by far the best example of competition and what can come of it, and thats only improvements.

Torque is almost pointless at anything over 2500 RPM and most usefull under 2000.

Listen carefully, I have built hi-po V8 engines before so I know what torque is all about.

You said torque is almost pointless at anything over 2500 RPM. That makes no sense at all. Torque exists at every rpm no matter what. You cannot have HP without torque.

If you meant peak torque then it all depends doesn't it? My ride makes peak torque at 3500 RPM or so. What does this mean? It means I have decent bottom end power and serious mid-range power. This is my street car, a 318 in a Mopar M-Body. It will waste stock 5.0l Mustangs.

I had helped built a 10 sec 1/4 mile hemi drag car as well.

In the case of car engines, it is the mechanical twisting force created by the engine. This force is used to drive the car.

Horse Power is a calculated figure of torque at a specific RPM. HP = (Torque X RPM) {divided} (5252)

Torque shall equal HP at 5252 RPM.

I usually begin races from a rolling start. and last time i checked there aren't stoplights every 500 feet or so at thunderhill or laguna seca.
