If you're looking for pure, raw performance, they are middle-line-up laptops. Neither are really better than the other, with long-term in mind. They're both going to suffer the stutters and lag of series heat dissipation needs. Positive note, they're not super expensive, but they're not going to give you the monster performance you're looking for compared to the desktop class graphics cards.
