the band originated as a funk band i guess you can say, they used to have horns and ditched them and now they rock even more. i'd recommend getting the cd, its become one of my all time favorites

The whole cd is good.

Some of it sorta sounds like a cross between Incubus & Jimmy Eat World...

Well, the main singer looks like he's got some oriental blood in him -- most likely, Thai. Pretty good band. It was originally spelled Hoobustank, but they changed it bec. people started calling them "hooboostank". The band name is the middle name of one of the guitar players.

:| I've been listening to hoobastank when they were hoobustank (roughly 4 years), now they get a freaking radio song and idiots think they're fans of the band, and other idiots like you think it's just the typical mtv shove it down your throat garbage.

It's kinda hard not to sound that way when some of the members were originally in incubus.They were all close friends and had band members in common before settling on thier current line ups
