I was about to purchase a 42" Panasonic EDTV Plasma screen then got confused and pulled back.
I want to buy a 42" Plasma or LCD screen TV to surf the internet (70%) and watch TV/DVD movies (30%). Panasonic's most popular model reads that you can not connect a PC to it even though it has a HDMI and S-Video port. Others like Samsung say you can - especially on the LCD TV's. I really want to pucrahse this week based on sales but need some serious help.
1. Looking at Samsung and Panasonic models Plasma and LCD with 70% PC usage planned. Which will work best for my needs? Heard that Plasma EDTV has too low pixel resolution limiting my PC screen resolution to 640x480, will cut off top and bottom of my desktop and will cause me to scroll right to left to see full web pages when browsing. Salesperson suggested for my needs LCD or HDTV Plasma.
2. What graphics card do I need for my computer? I have a nvdia GEforce 2 currently with DVI and S-video output.
3. Any resources to pont me to primarily for tips/suggestions on connecting a PC to plasma or LCD TV? I'm searching but having a hard time.
Help is really appreciated.
