Twin Peaks seems to be thriving. I've never sat foot in there. Hell, the last time I went to Hooters was a decade ago. I was starving and it was across the street from the Discount Tire I was stuck at.

Went to the Hooters in Long Beach last year while we were at a conference. I tried to convince our group to not go there and find someplace else to go. I thought it'd be a bad look for two councilmembers and a bunch of city officials to go to a Hooters for lunch. I was outvoted. The food was a disappointment, and the eye candy was also not very good. First time I'd been to a Hooters in 20+ years.

Hooters was the meme before memes existed. After the novelty wore off, it was always heading to the graveyard of unknown pets.

I think that i may have gone to one once to meet some current and former coworkers, but this was back when they had just started to be "a thing."

I always thought it was a stupid concept - and that alone was enough to guarantee their initial success.

Haven't been to one since Dec 2008, they actually had kids in the restaurant. The local Hooters looked dead everytime I passed by.
The Twin Peaks nearby closed years ago. I've never visited it.

I never saw the allure, and this from a person who cares greatly for T&A. I've been dragged into them a few times, against my will. Complete waste of time and money each time. Always found Hooters regulars to be worthy of scientific observation.

A trashy chain with shitty food that caters to easily impressed incels and isn't financially viable in the age of maga? That's the real story here.
