After a Google search found out the working weight is 22 lbs. That's 2 lbs more that our 12 year old, ready to die, Hoover Wind Tunnel.

I own this vac (bought it at a higher price some time ago). From someone in a vacuum forum that tested Hoover and Dyson vacs, I bought this on his recommendation (he found it was as powerful suction-wise as most of the DC series).

Pros: Good suction even without properly maintaining it after some time, mostly easy to clean (except roller brushes), pretty good for pet hair (I have an Irish Setter/beagle mix and a beagle), not the cost of a Dyson.

Cons: It is NOT light at all. Not a Dyson (with it's warranty). Walmart sells this

thanks OP, in for one, almost as cheap as replacing the filters in my current bagless and this one has a washable foam one it sounds like instead of the overpriced paper one.

Got the vac today. Quick shipping, 2 days by Fedex, but driver delivered it to a house down the street. Isn't it a job requirement for Fedex drivers to know how to read?

Compared to my old Hoover Wind Tunnel:
Pros: Price, paid ~$200. for the WT
Bagless, easy to empty the cannister
Good suction, picked up more dirt from same spot after the WT
12' hose connects to handle which doubles as wand.
Brush stops rotating in upright position, on-off brush switch
Hose snaps to back of vac
Quieter than the WT, but the WT needs new agitator/brush bearings

Cons: Heavier, weighs 22.6 lbs vs. 20 lbs
Lots of plastic, latches are all plastic, foresee a short life expectancy for latches
Shorter, cheaper hose
No wand extensions
Only 2 attachments, needs an upholstery tool.

Overall, a great vac for the price, a bit heavy, but great suction. We'll see how it holds up over time.
