That's weird you've gone that long without having one drop. I feel for you man. I remember how annoying it was to try and upgrade your pouches/inventory bags, etc and having to find skins, bones, etc.

i typically have limited time to sit and play (hence why I haven't even completed the game yet) so after 40 or so minutes I typically just move on. i thought i got the skin once or twice but it ended up being some random animal part that wasn't worth a lot.
oh, and where to I go to get a pair of cores to unlock that armory thing? I already got through the main door but there's two empty spots and another set of ring buttons. i got the core @ grave hoard before destroying the deathbringer but I couldn't tell you where I came across one before that... considering it was months and months ago. i do still really dig the game I just wish I was a little better at it. at one point I was doing pretty well but it seems like I am in a rut at the moment.
i did that for awhile too but maybe I was using a heavier attack? poor foxes...

You'll actually have to keep going down the main quest line before you'll get all the power cells needed. I ended up having to use a guide as I'd missed a couple in the later quests. Kind of annoying as I'd had to retrace a lot of steps.
I just finished the game last night! Overall I thought they did a great job. However in kind of the middle parts I just felt too underpowered and died a whole bunch. I basically found and did all the quests I could so at the end I finished at lvl50. Might be one of the few games I ever buy the dlc for!

Google for the 5 power cell locations. Lots of sites that show you the locations on the maps and how to get there. Though like Demo24 said, you gotta progress pretty far in the main story line to get the last power cell.
Still haven't finished it (I get easily distracted) but I'm getting more engaged in the story. I just got through the part where you learn all about project Zero Dawn, and that's been the most interesting part of the story so far. Still a lot of game to play it feels like, I just don't have a lot of time to dedicate to it.
Hunting animals for resources was without a doubt the most tedious part of the game. If every animal you killed dropped all of the parts that animal can provide, it might not have been so bad. I actually had more problems procuring parts from the fish. I hope they come up with a better system in the sequel.

I kept thinking through the game that I'll get a spear upgrade at some particular point. Cos melee combat was such a pain. Especially if you miss a few arrows against some of the bigger machines. And after that, it's just roll baby roll.

Aren't those part of the upgrade tree? There's two different levels for increasing the parts that you knock off with "minor" melee attacks, and then level 3 increases the knockdown of your heavy attack. Those are like the last things I'm spending points on though, I barely use the melee attacks.

Yes, they are part of the upgrade tree. However, they just added damage to it. It would've been fun if you could've had some sort of accessories to the spear, like probably a shock tip, or a flame tip. I do understand that this game is more a ranged hunteresque approach, but I would've loved a more macho second play through just blasting through a bunch of machines.
On second thought, it'll just make it feel like God of War
I didn't know that. But still, it's just boosting the damage isn't it? I would've loved some sort of variations in melee combat.
Buy i think I'm asking too much. It's already an extremely amazing game and my most fun experience after the Witcher 3.

I'm having an issue with the stupid hunting grounds. I'm trying to get marks so I can get the weapons at the hunter lodge. I know ive beaten every single trial with at least a full-sun but it doesnt appear to be registering. I have gone through some of them again but still won't register. Have latest update. WTF????

If you're doing NG+, remember that some trials require you have a specific weapon level unlocked (can't do the slingshot trial without a slingshot that supports the right ammo type for example). Maybe you're missing the prerequisite weapon for the trial to show up at a specific lodge?

No, I have all weapons needed. Its that I do all the trials but when I check in the side quest menu they don't show as being completed or even done. No check boxes on some individual trials.

Just finished the game yesterday. This game has bumped The Last of Us from my all time favourite top spot.
Great ending. Tried to wait for all the closing credits to finish but after 10 min cancelled out. Was happy to see it let me back into the game.
i got an option for a "Game +" mode. Was not sure what that was and just figured it was a new difficulty level. But looking into it. Do i have it correct that by starting this mode you can play the game over again but retain your level / gear / power that you were when the game ended?
After the game ends you are placed back into the world at the point / timeline of just before the final quest. i been wandering around killing things and clearing some of the remaining corrupted zones.
For nostalgia i went back to where it all began. Found the place where you first enter the game. Was not sure i would be able to get back up there but found a spot that let me climb back up. Was not expecting to see too much up there but was pleasantly surprised
I found Rosts grave. And you can have a dialog talking to the grave. Telling "him" all about your adventure and what you been up to. pretty damn cool to put this in there. would not think there would be too many folks that would return here.

I'm going to be trading in my launch X1 and PS4 tomorrow to get a PS4 Pro. I'm just curious if this game will look better on the PS4 Pro for me than the regular PS4 even though I don't have 4K or HDR capable displays. Does the extra power just make it run better generally speaking, or will it look the same in 1080p on my display on a normal PS4 and PR4 Pro?
I have yet to play this game but plan on doing it at some time.

It has significantly better texture filtering on the PS4 Pro even at 1080p. Digital Foundry has a video on PS4 vs PS4 Pro on HZD. Check their youtube channel, it's a great resource for XB1/PS4/PS4 Pro/PC comparisons.
PS+ Members can grab this game for $28 digitally and the Frozen Wilds expansion is $15. Can't wait to dive back into this world on Tuesday. I'm already pre-loaded for the expansion.
