What kind of crappy hornet killer did your buddy use? I've wiped out bigger nests then that with less then a full can of RAID. The trick is to wait until night when they are all in there, and make sure you get some into the entrance. But even if you do it during the day the residue will kill anything that returns. That stuff is very effective.

My buddy at work found this at his house today. He said he sprayed an entire can of hornet killer with it to no effect.
Should he just call the pro's? id is there something he can do himself??
edit: sorry clicked before pic'd.
And I'm sure the instructions on the can say to do it early in the morning when it's cold and they aren't active. I think it's more effective that way and also you don't run the risk of an angry bunch of hornets stinging you. It worked for me.Originally posted by: mi xiao
was there hornets in the nest?
an entire can should do the trick.....
it will kill the hornets but it won't do anything to the nest.

get a bucket, fill it with water, and lift the bucket up until the nest is submerged. knock it off of the ceiling and cover the bucket for a bit.

This is so brillant that it might just work! Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of that.
