Take a can of spray deodorant, add fire (with a lighter/match) and spray DIRECTLY into the hole. If you don't do that, their Queen'll die first, and then they go Berzerker. Kill all of them first, then the Queen. Or, if you can catch the Queen, put her outside. That way, the bstches'll follow her. Close the door, burn/smash the nest, ...profit?

For wasps or hornets nests (also for bees or even carpenter ants), especially those that are difficult to reach, simply apply a couple of puffs of Drione dust, or Delta dust. Drione works best, but Delta dust is better when it's humid.

It's a very fine powder. You puff it into the nest (or the area of the nest), and in about 24 to 48 hours all the pests will be dead. It's not toxic either.

there was an ad for hornst raid in the sunday newspaper. supposedly kills whoel hives on contact, and sprayable from 12 feet away. had never heard of it, but thought of this thread when i saw the ad.

there is no way that a whole can of the insect killer stuff wouldn't do the trick. you load up the nest and any hornets returning will even die when they touch the residue. it's strong stuff.

Put a nice metal trash can under it...

Grab a hose with a powerful nozzle... put on some thick clothing and make sure you are covered head to toe.

Spray for about 10 seconds, run like hell... repeat every couple of hours.

Eventually it will turn to mush and fall off under it's own weight.... or after a few days of this you might kill the queen and they might just leave or something. Who knows.

When it does fall off, a few hours later, put the lid on the trash can. Duct tape it shut, drill a small hole and start flooding it. HAR. YOU WIN.
