What she did was bad, but the zero-tolerance crowd doesn't stop to think of the social ramifications of prosecuting people for such crimes.

Or men fear the ramifications more than women. Or teenaged boys are more likely to brag about it to their friends that teenaged girls.
In most states, including mine, yes you would be perfectly fine and legal.

I just searched, and all cases on the first two pages on Google were about female teachers.I'm curious about this too. It seems like you almost never hear about the reverse now, and I wonder if it simply does not happen because men know much shit they'd get into.
I saw nothing saying she was currently married. In which case, I see absolutely nothing wrong with what she did.
