Stoning vid in Iran- I mean, it could happen anywhere, but the sight of people covered in white, half-buried up to their torso and pummeled into meat till the sheets turned red left me numb and nauseous.

Also, any kind of sports leg-snap. Theisman, Sid Vicious.

And F1 disasters, 2 in particular are brutal.

2 things that haunt me when I think about them.

1- a young soviet soldier with the right side of his face on the ground, a boot of a Chechen rebel on his head to keep him still as the owner of the boot with a large Bowie knife saws through his through his throat and he bleeds out to death. His face reminded me of a guy I was friends with when I was younger.

2- On a hillside sits a Soviet commander captured by Chechen rebels, according to the text, he is under the assumption he is part of a POW swap....suddenly one of the rebels grabs him from behind and saws through his neck and cuts his head off with a machete, soon after the cameraman zooms in to show the head of the victim resting on his chest with the blade that did the deed.

After I watched that second one I realized I was becoming too desensitized to this shit and it was time to step away.

I know how fucked up people are, I don't need to see anymore of mans inhumanity to man.

both of those are NOTHING compaired to the vid that was posted in the Cyst thread of those kids beating someone and stabbing him and whatnot

Is that where the kids used some yellow thing to beat the guy's face? I closed that window ~10-20 seconds into it.

things like goatse/crap eatin/anus broken bottle man/mrhands I can say WTF? but the rebels/animal cruelty/torture stuff is just terrible.

yes thats the vid i was talking about

Are you talking about the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs from Ukraine? Yeah, I've seen all the gore and fucked up "sex" videos that the internet has to offer, and that one (hammer and screwdriver, if we're still not clear) is easily the worst I've ever seen, and was really the last straw in my hope for humanity.

People are worse than animals -- at least animals do it from instinct, or for food... Many of these disgusting thrill-seekers do it for the fun of seeing another human being tortured in horrific ways and find it entertaining and funny. Or because you're a different religion or from a different country.

Obviously this is the same stuff that's been going on for millennia, but when you see three seemingly normal 19-year-olds (not ONE random messed-up guy, but THREE unrelated young kids) torturing a gurgling and moaning old man with a screwdriver in his spurting eyesockets while laughing and posing for a camera like it's a fucking school science project, you want to disown the human race. Oh, and they were later quoted as saying, "We just did it so we'd have something fun to remember when we're old."

And please, don't look up the video, you won't sleep well afterward and I promise no matter how desensitized you think you are, it WILL shock you profoundly, in a very negative way.

You have made me seriously considering watching this. I don't think I will.

Yeah, after watching one of the videos of a US soldier getting decapitated by insurgents/terrorists (not sure if they were a group or just real insurgents), I vowed to never watch a real life video of any kind with that kind of subject matter. It was just too much and probably really fucked me up more than I might realize.
And then I watched the hanging of Saddam Hussein, and while I kind of enjoyed the fact that it happened, actually watching it was a little disturbing.

With movies, I can completely separate it from reality and nothing in movies can make me react, but at the same time, nothing in movies can desensitize me from reality, just possibly desensitize me from other things in movies.
Like I can watch the Saw movies easily, and while I might get a little disturbed/grossed out, they don't hit me as if they were real - i.e. if I saw a video of that happening for real, I'd probably be incredibly messed up and stop watching immediately.

Well I do hate to say it, but it's still primal and instinct when humans harm other humans like this. Like you mentioned, country, religion, or even family/community differences, and culture in general, is all something that can be instinctual to fight for.

And humans, like animals, we harm other humans, and for what we believe is 'just for the thrill', but I do believe it is a sub-conscious desire for attention. Attention is craved from numerous sources - family, peers, females. It's out social nature, it is incredibly natural for us to crave attention. We crave structure - some crave to just be a part of a structure, while others crave to be the head of that structure. Even if it's just a circle of friends, or of a family... it's very natural to want some kind of structure, and I'd say the proof lies in the fact that we see this more primal behavior in males more often than females, because its in our blood to be patriarchal, and there is nothing we can do to change this. Women want more power in business and want not, but cannot see the fact that we are a male-dominant species, and that will NEVER change, and it really shouldn't, because naturally males are stronger and more apt to protect their families than females. Nothing sexist about it, just our chemistry and DNA. No harm in women have equal footing in businesses, but its a society thing.

It's simply, we've moved so far passed our primal/tribal lives, and are so technological and united in some ways, that modern society essentially demands the lack of instincts in daily behavior. Which is because of numerous reasons, but chief of which is the belief we are something special, and are not animals, when in truth we are nothing more than animals that have become a little more advanced than the other animals on this planet. And with all the technicalities of daily life and socialization, when instincts come to the light, they are often in very dangerous ways. Some let instincts drive them in a more subtle manner, but some, due to certain variables in their society or their environment, behave differently.

3 things stand out in my mind, they aren't anywhere on the internet because I saw them...in real life, when they happened.

One was a woman who accidentally looked down the barrel of a 3" firework mortar tube. The mortar than went off and blew up in the tube. She came into the ER missing, literally, half her head and still alive for a few minutes at least. EMS had the other part of her head in a plastic bag. I still have nightmares about that from time to time.

The other was a young mom who attempted suicide with a .38 hollow point to the head, except she hesitated(and semi missed blowing the top of her head off instead of the back) and when her 7 year old daughter found her she wasn't dead yet. She lived for a few more hours in our ER before dying. We couldn't let family back to see her because of the gore.

That and 2 weeks ago when they brought a firefighter in that ended up dying in a abandoned house fire set by an arsonist. I was equally pissed off and saddened. But the raw emotion from that all day in the ER, as firefighters from all over filtered in and out, was horrid.

I googled it (naturally) after reading this thread. Conclusion:

DO NOT MOTHERFUCKIN WANT

gross

Mr Hands was great. Like a fkin magic trick... Hey kids, want to see 2 feet of horse disappear?

The people doing stupid shit to themselves I can watch, but these days I find myself not putting myself through it anymore.

But I'd never want to see innocent people / animals being victimized by the ~95% of our race who are still more related to our animal ancestors than the humans we supposedly are now... although I wouldn't mind seeing dead muslims in any shape or form (or pieces ). Link to stoning vid?

Fairly immune at sight but sometimes, usually after work, i'll start thinking about it and get a little nauseated. Usually it just makes me sad and I'll have to do something to cheer me up...watch a good(non-violent) movie or whatnot.

Terrorist beheading videos
Mr. Hands

I just heard about the video (must be the Ukrainian one) about guys beating the living fuck out of someone, so it's only a matter of time before I watch that.

BME Olympics

I had originally saw a video reaction for Joe Rogan to 2 girls 1 cup... at the end he mentions that's nothing compared to BME Olympics. I looked it up and yea, it hurts to watch. Be warned!!!

i think the worse thing ive seen is some kid deliberately have his leg broken.

he's sitting there with one leg on chair and his friend smashes a brick on his shin. dont know why it bothered me so much, but it did

ive seen the guy blowing up an inflatable dingy with his mouth and his son runs in jumps on the dingy and his dads head explodes. might be fake though

or the fella who decided to leave his car at a safari park to film lions and gets eaten
