I've been having my share of problems with Dixiesys lately. It's been good for a couple years now. In the last few days, my confidence in them has completely eroded. My site has been down for 24 hours, and that's just because they "disactivated" it, or something. Any suggestions? It's a lot of work to move everything...

A billing problem, totally our fault, there was a new billing and the old billing with 2checkout was still active and then came in as canceled yesterday and so the site was suspended due to perceived cancelation when in fact there was a new billing, a classic case of left hand right hand. This should be back online and I credited your account a month of billing to make up for the goof. One of those things that can happen while we try and migrate folks away from 2checkout. Moving 3500 active billings from 3rd party to in house billing is definitely not something I'd like to do twice

Weird, the site's been up all day - no outages on the server that I'm aware of (5 minute monitoring) - and we've had a bunch of AT visitors/orders today...

maybe there is a routing/peering problem with my access provider (cox) and Verio. Ping plotter shows packets dropping in Verio's network.

Does HostPC have GD or ImageMagick installed for their Budget accounts? If I were to get an account, it would mostly be used as an online photo album.

I've been hosted with Joe over at hostpc for almost 2 years now. I have had exactly 1 outage that wasn't related to something I screwed up.
They provide great service with amazing response times.

Excuse my French but that is FSCKING AWESOME.

So you get 1200MB/12GB for only $50/yr that's less than $4.20 per month from a quality web host.

Or you spend $57.98 for the small business package and get 1.2GB/20GB. I guess it would depend if you need that extra couple of gigs of bandwidth.
