Except these have fans, which might be cheap, horrbily whiny small fans -- who knows?Originally posted by: PagannagaP
This is a micro ATX board, the VIA chips are designed for low power consumption and less heat therefore less noise from fans. Perfect for a 'carputer' or for using as a HTPC. If it's only going to be used for playing media it'd be perfect. If I had the money to burn (and with Tiger it's a valid concern) I'd jump on it.

1. AMDs are no hotter than Intels. In fact, the Prescott consumes RIDICULOUS amounts of power (100 watts?!?!)
2. Via makes these cpus, not AMD. These things run VERY cool.

They are known scammers.
Good luck with your rebates.
