FYI: I have used the PNY disks for over a year now and have had ZERO problems with them. I have burned quite literally hundreds of them and have 2 un-opened 110packs sitting on my desk waiting to be tapped : )

The burners I have used them with are, a Yamaha 6x scsi (now deceased), a Plextor 12x, and a TDK 24x. And yes, even though none of the PNY's say 24x capable I can assure you they will do it. I burn all mine at 24x, no coasters, no read problems. Go get um.

used these alot a while back, very good everntho it's made in tawain. zero problems for both my 8x yamaha nad 24x TDK. like hunt3r said, these could do 24x eventho they're not 24x certified.

might grab a few...see if i have any $$ left over from x mas shopping!!

Got to the store at Des Moines 2 hr after the flyer hit-the shelf space allocated to these was about 6 inches across, and of course all gone, as was the Que burner. They had lots of canned air, though. What do they do, stock about 5 each of these items ?

This deal is actually on today's flyer, and there is another thread on this.

I hit the store in Des Moines this morning around 9:30, and they did have the CD-Rs. Since PNY brand isn't in stock, they substitute with FMI black CD-Rs (kinda cool). Also grabbed a copy of Encarta.

Theshamu-I went back to them this morning, and they not only said they had not had any PNY, they would not substitute anything-said they might come in Monday ! This is the store at University and 100th-is that where you went ? I am not from here-just a truck driver stuck here on friday nite and sat mornings-and this is the only CUSA I know of. From my experiences so far with them, I'd just as soon not go back there-jb1

Does BB do pricematch to CompUSA? Maybe the rebate is not specifically for CUSA so you can pricematch and still use rebates....

Does compusa accept returns w/o reciept for store credit? Just wondering because I have some thanksgiving 'deals' which the rebate ran out on (and past the 14 day return policy)????

Thanks for the deal.. My local Staples actually had these on the clearence table for $14.99 (had a bunch too...).. I used the $10 off $10 coupon so $4.99 out the door minus $15.00 rebate gets me $10.01 in my pocket 50 CDRs and a CD Wallet sweetness......

Hello,

My CompUsa Had the Black 16x 50 back for 19.99 - 5 w/ 15 rebate (sku 282617 or 282276). Unfortunately, my Philips 804 burner locks-up when trying to write to them. Anyone have any ideas about this?

I think I will return them.
