You can check your paypal account and see if they snuck in the good ol' "auto" (hint of pun) renewal plan with themselves as the beneficiary of your PP account.
(Car & Driver, "auto" renewal plan...in case the coffee had not kicked in as yet.
Besides, I think PP has to notify you if it is on a renewal basis.)
