Yes, a sharpie will work. Just make sure you mark the correct side!

As a side-note, I went by today to pick some up and they were out. I asked about
a rain check and was denied. Kid at customer service said they were not to issue
any more rainchecks because they (Comp Usa) were bought by some company in Mexico!?!?

We prepayed for an order for them. They'll be in in a couple of weeks. Still in time to get the rebate.

Make sure you send in only one rebate form/upc/receipt per envelope.

I wasn't sure after reading the fine print, so I called. The guy actually told me that I needed to send in 3 different envelopes, one envelope per rebate request.

This is dumb. The original (not printed from the website) rebate form states:
"... request form along with the UPC symbol(s) from the applicable product(s)..."
(Can't load up TDK's website right now for some reason to look at the online rebate form.)
To me, this means one request per envelope, but with 3 UPC symbols allowed.

Anyhoo, make sure you send them in separately.

Oh yeah, circle the TDK CDR on your receipt too. Not sure if they'll reject it if you forget that.

I got my double spindle Sunday. A friend asked me to get him one since I work close to the store. They have been out since Monday but they said check back they are expecting shipment in any day. I stopped in a couple of hours ago still none in stock. I asked the CSR if they had gotten shipment in yet. He said that they were doing a substitution. He takes me up front and hands me 2 50 pack spindles of 16x 80 min made in Taiwan for $14.99 each. I just checked the rebate slip doesn't say anything about 80 min cdr's. May not be as good of a deal as I first thought. In case you are wondering this is at the Dayton,OH store and the number on the bar code is 2035647896.

I am thinking of keeping these for myself and giving the ones i got Sunday 74 min Japan. Are the 80 min Taiwan better than the 74 Min Taiwan?

For the perosn who asked if the substitue 80 min TDK CD-R's were eligible for a rebate. THe rebate coupon I have is godd only for various packs of 74 min. CD-R's. Sorry. The rebate coupons are in the collection of CompUSA rebates typically mounted for the taking somewhere near the fron of the B&M.


Does anyone know how to order these from Staples. I cannot find ther on Staples.com. I see some have purchased them at Staples B&M. Can someone whou purchased at Stapels B&M give us a Staples SKU. This would not be 277319 SKU from CompUSA, but probably a different SKU number. This would be most helpful as my CompUSA is out of these and I would love to get some from Staples with price matching and coupons,

If you read the rebate, you can only have 3 rebates per person group or address. Also, you can mail all of the rebates in 1 envelope. It says on the rebate that you can mail in UPC(s) with the receipt(s). This implies multiple copies and UPC's in one envelope.

You're gonna have to use a different address and different name to get rebates for the extra 3 you bought ShadowfaX.
