These are Princo media. Stay away from Princo.

go to program files / ahead nero / nero toolkit / nero cd speed

once open go to Extra, then Disc Info...


this assumes you have nero installed but of course.

dvddecrypter will tell you also. My gues it's princo. The cheapest I can find Riteks are 165.00 for 100 pack.

Ran Nero's Disc Info and everyone is right. They are Princo's. I have burned so far 55 of the 100 pack that I bought and haven't had a single problem so far. I was considering buying another 100 pack with the new price, but you guys have me concerned. I have the Pioneer A05 and have had no problems at all burning. I am using DVD Decrypter --> DVDFab --> Img Tool and have made perfect copies. All copies have played 100% through on my Toshiba SD-5109 and a friends Pioneer DVD player.

Should I hold off and buy another brand or stick with it? What are some of the known issues with Princo's? I haven't noticed any problems yet.

I have a Cendyne 4x dvd-r burner (Pioneer A05) and I use DVD PRO brand with dvd cases plus free shipping from www.supermediastore.com search for
DVD01X0009-S02

and usually pay around $110 - $125 (depending on price at the time I need them & or if I have a coupon via email from them), the cases are nice, the dvds are great with my Pioneer, my dad has a sony 500, and it works for him too, altho he and I both burn at 1x only (just cuz discs are expensive, and we don't burn alot), but in general these discs have been great for us, only problems I have had were when I did something to screw up the burn (using other apps during burning), if I leave the damn thing alone the DVD's come out great!

Allmediaoutlet.com has Ritek G04 with logo for 155 for 100. Bought a pack last week for 165 (doh) and they burn fine at 4x with my Sony Dru500. DVDInfo verified they're real Ritek G04. Or least they have that media code.

There is nothing wrong with Princo MEdia, at least if you buy the correct ones. I am using Leda DVD-R's right now (in reality, they are Princo DVD-R's) which I bought for $0.8/disc and it burns just fine. The only disadvantage is that it burns at 1X.

4x Princo's work great for me.I've burnt tons of them & haven't really had any problems besides losing acouple of disc when burning on the fly.I only lost 1 disc outta 300 + from image.

I have not had any problems burning the 4x Princos on a Pioneer A05. I have copied movies that have been played in everything from an ancient Aiwa stand alone to a PS2 and have not run into any compatibilty issues.

my problem with Princos have been with the 1x DVD-RW, so there may not be the same problems. Basically, my burner does not recognize the discs right away. And once it's burned, it still has a tough time recognizing it. Just my experience...
