What is CC's "Return Policy" for technology items during the Christmas season? Normally, I think, for tech items the return period is 14 days. Is that time period extended during the holiday season?

Doesn't matter when you pay in full. If you order when the rebates are valid, you can get the drive weeks later and the purchase date will be the order date. Just did this with the 250GB deal a few weeks ago. I picked up the drive via Special Order about 1 week past the rebates, they still printed out and the purchase date was valid for the rebates

Better hope you get your rebates cause you're not supposed to get them unless you paid for it...IN FULL.

Wrong. I "ordered" a 250GB drive from CC when they had 2x $70 rebates. I put down %10 and paid the rest at time of pickup (after rebate period). On the receipt, the purchase date prints as the date I ordered and all rebates printed out...

can somebody send me a scan of their upc from the package to EDITED. Didn't want to open it since you can use the copy of the upc for the rebates and have no use for it as of yet..

i can already forsee people getting burned on the rebates, they will probably count the other two as multiple submissions or pull some other craps to make it very hard to get.

Not true, its apparent that CC was trying to get rid of the nameless brand. 20 bux after rebate for a 120gb.. also the next day ppl found some 100gbs free after rebate.

Dude, have you tried calling. I did this morning and this is what I was told. The CSR said that the rebate should have been posted by the 18th and she doesn't know why it wasn't. I asked if it would be. She said probably not. But she said it wasn't a problem. She said to make your own rebate form by writing all the info on a piece of paper and then sending it to PO 3650. That's what I'm going to do. If it gets rejected I'll go the OoP, BBB and FTC route.

I'm returning mine too... The last message I heard from CC Rebate C/S is that I should just mail in a copy of my receipt, UPC barcode, and a note referring to this YB273 promo to this Y America address and he says "you should get the $40 in 6-8 weeks..." Just sounds a little too funky for me.

There will be other deals later...I can always wait...

A matter of note, though:

The CC erebate form accepted YB270 and YB273, but Y9980 wasn't eligible.
Y9980 printed out at the store just fine.
I hope they didn't cancel Y9980 to enable YB273. That would make this deal only warm again. Deals at $.50/GB are a dime a dozen.

I purchased on 12/12/03 and they are dening my YB273 rebate.

CC says that YB273 was only valid for two days -- 12/10 and 12/11.

Plenty of people here and at FW have receipt scans that clearly show that YB273 ran from 12/10 thru 12/24 but, I don't have any piece of paper, with my transaction details, that shows that date range. When I checked the CC rebate site today for YB273, it shows 12/10 and 12/11 as the valid dates. They've changed that from the 12/10 to 12/24 that it said before but I can't prove it!

They told me that if I can provide them with a copy of the rebate form with the 12/10 to 12/24 dates, then they will honor the rebate.

Does anyone have a scan of the online rebate form that clearly shows the 12/10 to 12/24 dates?

That totally sucks of them. I clearly remember that it said 12/24. They have just changed the form. If anyone has a screenshot of it, please share. Even then, the screenshot likely will just look like this page with the dates changed, and the program number is not identified on that page.
