I know there are several posts on how to try to sneak away with the 8MB Cache version of this drive...
Well this is a 100% legit version of the 2MB drive.
Print out this flyer and this summary from Microcenter. Take them into Best Buy where you'll find the same exact drive (model numbers match) for $249 - $100 WD mail in rebate - $20 Best Buy mail in rebate.
Price match down to $149 and you've got yourself the 120GB 7200RPM 2MB for $29 + tax on $150.
Best Buy mail in rebates usually arrive in less than 6 weeks, compared to CompUSA and manufacturor rebates which take at LEAST 8 weeks.
Breakdown:
$249 @ BB
$149 after PM to Microcenter (compute sales tax here)
$49 after WD MIR (prints out @ BB when you buy the drive)
$29 after BB MIR (prints out @ BB when you buy the drive)
One rebate requires the capacity sticker and one requires the UPC.
Good luck, as always, YMMV
THIS DEAL SHOULD WORK! I DID IT MYSELF!
