Circuit City has the drive for 199.99, if you can't get the Microcenter PM. 50 bucks more... not so hot, but still good.
I agree somewhat. I had a problem with a BB store last holiday season, so I contacted BB.com through email. I ended up getting someone to call the store manager and he in turn had to call me and apologize for the inconvenience that he put me through, but that's about it. Actually contacting BB corp is probably a better scare tactic to try and get the store manager to do something for you, but I don't think they will really do anything in your favor after the fact.hey logers, dont waste you time trying to contact Best Buy customer service. they suck. they dont care what you have to say, if the store told you something, then that is it. not questions asked. I have had problems with them before, and they dont do anything for you.
So.. What does this mean exactly? I did call the BB Rebate Center this evening to ask about what I needed to submit as a receipt for both rebates and when I had the CSR look up the $20 rebate from the reference number, it came up fine. My point is that I'm sure that the register rebate is fine. No telling what is going on with the online rebate. They are probably both fine though. If you bought the drive from the store and plan to use the rebate forms on bestbuy.com, PLEASE notice:
It's actually quite a bit more than $50 difference because I don't see a CC rebate for this drive. You'd only be getting it for the $149 PM as far as I can see and that's quite a bit more than $29 + tax after rebates.Circuit City has the drive for 199.99, if you can't get the Microcenter PM. 50 bucks more... not so hot, but still good.

Would be pretty hot if the Fry's offer was for the retail boxed version....but it's for the BARE DRIVE only. Gotta read that fine print.

Man, you guys keep talking about the right side of the yellow slip. There is NOTHING on the right side of my yellow slip. The girl just filled in the left side with my name, address and listed the drive, original price, and the price after the PM. It was never printed on by the register. I hope I'm not hosed...

Okay, so I went to my local BB that?s in the area in which I live, but I?m not gonna to say where that area is because it?s a big secret and I don?t want anyone else to know so that they can also waste their time going to the Madison Hgts, MI store (DOH!). Anyway, there were no drives on the shelf, (big surprise), so I asked the friendly sales droid if they had any WD 120GB drives in stock. He asked me "Are you trying to price match?". I get the feeling that this is not going to go well. I said "Yes". He said that MC is out of stock and he could not sell me one. He also said that WD would not honor the rebate anyway since the final price would be less than $50 after rebate. I asked "Do you have any in stock?" He said that they had one left behind the counter, (could it be that he was saving the last one for himself?). Anyway, I said to myself "FI" and left the Madison Hgts, MI BB store (DDOOOOOHHHH!).

I went in to the Citrus Heights (CA) BB and saw that they had 6 in stock. I grabbed one for work (I'm an IS guy) for use w/the corporate acct. and one for me with my own cc and headed to the counter. The girl said 'oh we had someone do this earlier', but then told me that the rebate didn't apply.
