No, only the upcoming AMD760 and AMD760MP systems along with the current ALi chipset will accept DDR. The KT133a only accepts SDRAM

psxjunky, I got the iwill ka266. The KT133a's don't take ddr ram only regular sdram.

Something else odd is that they dont even have these in their system anymore, whereas before they just had it not in stock.

I called crucial this morning. They said that it was an error that the site listed the memory in stock and that PC2100 wouldn't be available until April. Did anyone here get the memory. I assumed that the person was lying and that there was memory available.

I spoke to a tech person at crucial. The PC2100 memory that was available is not available anymore and most likely won't be. The new PC2100 memory will be available in 30-60 days and will be based on a different chip size.

I too ordered that Ram then ordered the KA266r board and someother components based on that ram. and I sold my wife's and my computers.
Crucial called me saying that I have ordered unspecified ram and that they don't want to sell this ram for any other board but a gigabyte d7???. I sayed thats fine with me I will take it anyway. He said he would call me back, never did. got an email last night with the same out of stock BS as the other people got. So I called them today the line they gave me was they have no more 2100. the guy was unaware that any 2100 was sold on the website. He checked and called me back saying that it was the resellers department that sold off a few engineering samples. I checked the micron site. micron states that this ram is available but you can't buy from them. I think that crucial has this ram and is only letting it out for a few boards or resellers. I am totally pissed. Now I will have to get the 1600 ram and hope it overclocks.
Anyone know where I can get 2100 at reasonable price???:frown::disgust::|:disgust:

From what some others have told me, the reason they were at that price to begin with is that they arent going to use that configuration anymore for their upcoming PC2100 memory.

It in all other respects works fine, and there are a good many people who got in on this the first time that have said it is PC2100 memory, and not a mislabled PC1600.

Dont believe me....just look on the evil auction site for it.

I understand some of your frustration for having your orders cancelled, but if some of you aren't too picky, and want DDR memory now, just buy the PC1600 and run the latency at 2.5. Myself and many others have been running PC1600 just fine that way for a while, in fact I've yet to hear of anyone who can't run PC1600 at PC2100 speeds.

I've been monitoring this particular deal and something smells fishy. One of my suppliers who exclusively carries Micron memory said Micron called them to have PC2100 DDR memory they had recalled. So the supplier sent all the memory back and haven't heard anyword since. Also the price Micron was selling these DDR sticks were around $40 lower than everyone else. Since it looks like Micron won't be getting anymore of these &quot;PC2100&quot; DDR, it makes me wonder if Micron just sold these memory sticks at low cost just to get rid of recalled stock?

that makes sense but I don't think crucial would sell recalled stock.
would they. They test this stuff, don't they. Well maybe it was in spec for the gigabyte board but they knew that selling it straight out
could generate problems. in fact thats what they told me.
