I just bought the 17" LCD Sceptre Agama Display SKU-420691, and used the -parents sams club #. The monitor is a pivot and compared to the non-pivot there seems to be no difference.

150? (horizontal)
140? (vertical)

Dunno what they mean here, maybe they don't know how to calculate the angle! Haha.

Scepter has this in the warranty statement:
"LCD exclusion: Sceptre does not warrant burned pixels on any and or all LCD displays. "

I couldn't tell from your post, but did you get dead pixels?

I wonder if I pick it up at Sam's if they would let me unbox it and hook it up to a system to check it before buying.

That's why i mentioned the sams warranty, maybe they'll cover it for that "Covers damage caused by normal wear and tear". So i am thinking they will.

They might let you, i don't see why not.
