I hate to sound like a n00b, but I just can't get this to work. Could someone who got this to work explain it to me (via PM) or post here.

This is what I did.

1) I went to HSN.com and I added a product that other people said worked for them.
2) I put in the code in the area that says "Have a coupon? Enter it here: " and clicked on "redeem & update"
3) I was informed that my coupon wouldn't work.

If I click on checkout, it remembers who I am (I purchased something from them a long time ago) even if I try to sign out and come back to the website.

Those of you that got it to work...were you new customers? If no, then did it matter that the website had a cookie that allowed it to identify you as having already been a member? Did you erase this, or was the coupon able to work without a problem.

Am I supposed to proceed further in the checkout process and later put in the code, or am I correct in attempting to put it in the coupons area and then clicking "redeem & update".

Any and all help would be appreciated. I really want to get in on one of those swords or camera, but nothing I've tried seems to work.

DoubleN, I was a new customer, I did exactly as you explained in your post without problem. You may have cookies in your oven that need to come out. Try deleting them and go back in, but I don't think this offer is for new customers only anyway. Keep trying.

Did you try going through the link @ the top of the thread or did you type in the address?

HSN site said I am not allowed to use the coupon. I've never purchased anything from them. I did try a couple of years ago to buy some throw pillows (2), that came out to .99 each after I applied a 10 off coupon. I think a few AT members might remember this. HSN then sent me a e-mail a couple days later saying my CC company denied the transaction, so they are cancelling my order. Total Bullshlt!! Just their way of dumping everyone's order for some cheap pillows. Anyway, they won't let me use this coupon, because it must be for new members, even though I technically, never purchased anything from them.
