I already went and picked one up. Looks like they're clearing them out. I called my local sam's to confirm the model number and price. The guy picks up (was a manager) and says shockingly "798.11? They must have changed that since monday, That's 22% below our cost." After a sweep through avsforum and HT, I went and picked it up.

They're clearing em out for new stuff. The cheaper model of the 32" TV is still selling there for $932.74. Funny eh? Another thing, I'm pretty sure the 34" inch is different. There is a 36" of this model, but the 34" is a cheaper one.

Does this have a DVI connection? I didn't see it in the spec's but it says crt connecter. What do you think of this tv so far?

haven't hooked it up yet, and won't get around to it until tomorrow. This has a VGA input, I think that is used in place of the DVI (makes it easy to hook up a computer though). Maybe some more TV-techy person can fill in the blanks.

People over at avsforums.com seem to really like it. And at this price, it's even cheaper then when walmart cleared out their inventory (yes, i know sam's and walmart are the same company).

I checked the fw site and did serveral different searches and couldn't find any mention of it there. I also went to samsclub web site and nothing on there either.

I guess it MUST not exist if it's not on Sam's website.

B&M only. look harder on FW and check out avsforum for more details. For a kickass TV without dealing with rebates, shipping, or coupons, this is sweet......although getting it from sam's to your house might be tricky without a truck.

Yeah, that's how much it is. It was that price at Walmart a few months ago too.

It's not VGA input, it's a DB-15 plug, w/RGB support. I have an HDTV with both component and DB-15 inputs, and it handles both RGB And YPbPr.

I'm in the market for a new TV and I would have picked this up if it was future proof.

Couldn't you just use a DVI to RGB cable and have either?

It is NOT popping up on samsclub website for me. doing a search for "phillips" only shows 2 items (A journal and a 34" tv). Doing a "philips" search brings up several tvs but NONE of which match that model#.

Feel free to rejoin part of the non-internet community (i.e., humanity) and call your local Sams to ask.

This is on clearance. Walmart cleared em out for about $750 a couple months back. CLEARANCE, meaning that it's likely to not show on the website since they're not going to deliver it.

You can check your Sam's Club inventory realtime by going to Click 'n Pull.

There are a number of ways to search inventory, including more than one store. I generally use "See how it works" box on the left side.
