I spent only one year at Illinois ('89-'90)...spent too much time dialed up and fooling around with the Internet, especially during spring semester, so I ended up not returning the next year. (I had gotten a 2400-bps internal modem for my IIe that Christmas, so I didn't have to go down to the labs in the basement. The 7-hour-per-week time limit on uxa sucked, but you only had to ask for an unlimited-usage account on mrcnext for that to no longer be a problem.) I spent that year in Oglesby Hall (room 712 IIRC, one of the triples)...took forever to get anywhere on campus from there. I don't recall the cow smell being too bad, at least not most of the time.
