it's not really working for me either...i called them and they said they were having some problems ith the system automatically deducting, so they told me to go ahead and order anyway and if it doesn't deduct in the end, i should call them first, they will research in to and and give the $5 off to me in the end...

should i go for it? i wanna order some memorex cd sleeves for 4.99!!

1. close IE
2. Start IE
3. Delete Cookies and Delete files
4. Close IE
5. Open IE
6. Goto www.bestbuy.com
7. Goto Digital Camera Page
8. Click on rt column ad...talks abt great offers
9. Wait till pop-up opens
10. Close all IE pages
11. Open IE
12. Goto www.bestbuy.com
13. Goto Digital Camera page
14. Click on the ad which now says $5 off
15. If it still says great offer...click on it again...wait for popup goto step 10.
16. click on $5 ...popup opens saying u got $5 if u login or register.
17. do the needful

if something goes wrong...start with step 1 or step 10. whichever applies to you
and use IE6 preferably

follow the steps exactly, eventually, the coupon will come up..i had to go back to step 10 like 3 times, and then it showed up! niceeeeee

BestBuy needs some help, in their online sales, programming department.
Finally worked, using Firebird 0.7 browser.
Had to first clear history, filled forms & cookies.
Then entered: www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat13100050038&type=category&h=387
Input an existing account name & password.
Then, when pop-up asked whether to save name and password information, chose "No".

Got DVD: "Once Upon a Time in the West" (pre-order, scheduled for Nov.18), for $9.99 + sales tax, shipped free.

did anyone who chose instore pickup have a delay in the emails?

Got the confirmation email, but not the one telling me it's ready to be picked up. Got one saying that the store is closed and they'll send a pickup email as soon as they hear from the store.

I had to phone order because it wouldn't take the 3-digit CID number for my credit card, just kept sending me back to the page where you enter it. CSR took the $5 off the phone order for me.

I got to the last screen, entered my CC, and hit Submit.

It returned "False". Looks like their JS blew up.

Oh, well, if the DVD comes, fine, if not, that's OK too (as long as my CC is not charged, that is<grin>)

Well if FINALLY worked for me, but alas not for the Matrix Reloaded DVD. I couldn't select the in-store pickup option for the DVD (as it will take FOREVER to get it with their free shipping. In the past, it usually takes two weeks for a movie/game to get to me.) So I removed the DVD from my cart and then added some cables I need to hook up my new Audigy 2 ZS card to my receiver. Still $5 off is NICE!!

But I had to try like 4 or 5 times to get it to work, and if your having problems I don't think just clearing out your cookies will do it.

HERES HOW TO REALLY GET IT TO WORK:

1. Close out all BestBuy web browsers
2. Go to the Search function. Browse to your Temporary Internet Files. In XP Usually C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files Then look for any 'bestbuy' files. About 4 temp BB files came up and I had to delete them one by one.
3. Clear out all cookies.
4. Then log back on and try again with THIS LINK. It finally worked for me after I removed the BB files in the Temp Internet folder.

So much work/hassle for a 'measly' $5 BOTOH, when your buying a $15 DVD or such, it's pretty nice. The only downside now is that I lost about 15-20 cached username/password combos for different sites; O well!

read the thread. its a preorder, its not available yet, you can't pick it up in the store.



btw, MGM is having a 20% off their dvds thing right now so there's a ton of dvd's that could be had for $3. None really fantastic, but I got Die Another Day for $7.
