This site located in Germany(where Birkenstocks are made), ships thier sandals anywhere. They have almost all sizes, colors, and styles. They also have Birkenstock shoes and other brands all much cheaper than US prices. The prices listed on the site are in Euros and are slightly higher than what you will actually pay because of the varying exchange rate. You'll always get the best rate within a billing period if you charge it. Here is a link to todays exchange rates. Shipping is nominal, and increases only slightly with big purchases.

The site is difficult to navigate because everything is in English and German, but the CSRs are very friendly and speak English. Since they are shipping overseas, be patient with the ordering. I have ordered twice, and it took 2 weeks each time to receive my sandals.

It is nearly impossible to find Birkenstocks below $80ish in the US. Very rarely a store will have a limited stock on sale. This store always has the lowest price for all styles, colors, and sizes.
Go for it.

Amazon has some Birks on clearance at $9. Yes that's right, this is not a typo. However they only appear to have size 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 14 and 14.5
So if your foot is really small or really huge you're all set.

the exchange rate doesn't go up and down very much. A lot of goods from Europe can be bought directly from Europe saving you ~40% or more in most cases, if you can penatrate the language barrier. Thanks to the web that's not so hard, and the web saves you the trip too.

I'm not positive, but I *think* I ordered from this site about a year ago. They stock some birkenstocks that you can't get here in the states. (My mom really likes one style, which apparently was discontinued here a few years ago, but they had 'em)

SweetBaboo- I ordered from this site a long time ago, even before they were on the Euro. The exchange rates were about the same. The link to exchanges rates in the post shows a graph of the Euro to dollar.

Go Terps- Here is the shipping info. For one pair, they only give info on shipping by sea, which is slow, but cheap($8.77). Two pairs by air is $12.28($6.14/pair). 3 pairs is $15.79($5.26/pair). Not bad.

drti- these sandals are possibly the most comfortable sandals you can buy. They also last a long time. The soles can be replaced when they wear out which saves you money. Also the longer you wear them, the better they feel on you feet as the mold over time.

Naots are actually the same as birkenstocks, well almost. after ww2 (i think) germany had to give up patents to many of its products as a war reparation, one of them being birkenstocks. in turn naots and birks are made in the exact same fashion, although in different factories in different countries, with sligthly different materials.

Costco in Laurel, Maryland had the sandals for $24 on clearance. I almost bought a pair then said to myself, "WTF I need sandals for?"" LOL You never know Costco may have them nationally? Hope this helps.

Go to the store and try them on to find the right size, then go order it.
