That's correct. The drive will power off after 15-20 minutes of inactivity and power up when accessed.

I'm in for one. However, this means I have to disassemble my current external drive and my internal RAID1 array, swap out drives, rebuild the array and then rebuild the image onto the new external drive. Sounds fun, no?
