Let me just say that MWave is a great retailer. I buy from them more than Newegg, because they have what Newegg doesn't, WillCall. Newegg ships from around the corner from where I work, yet they won't will call. MWave is 2 exits away on the freeway and their prices are competitive to Newegg, if not better. I just spent $400 their this tuesday.

If you want to know more about the RAM, you could call them and ask, but my guess is they don't have much info either, probably a generic, maybe Kingston valueram.

Willcall means you can place an order and then go pick it up instead of it being shipped to you. Saves time, money and hassle if the vendor is close to you.

Do they actually have a retail outlet in City of Industry? Or is that place only a warehouse...

It's a warehouse with WillCall. No retail outlet, although you can go into WillCall and sit down at one of their computers, order online and then walk up to the desk a few minutes later to get your product.

That is proof that most of these internet companys gouging with their shipping costs. I mean it would make no sence at all to charge $5 for will call since they are saving on packing and handling costs.

Oh well they are charging a very low price on their components , I suppose they gotta make a buck somehow. I wish Mutiwave was down the street from me.

No. Labor is key here. Dealing with customers is expensive. I sell a lot on ebay and refuse to meet with anyone in person, even if they live in the same city. It is annoying, time consuming, and more annoying when customer X says, "hey, I'll meet you at 5pm and nver shows or worst, when some dirtbag agrees to X price and then tries to dicker when they show up. It is simply too expensive to man a counter these days.

I have bought over $15,000 in gear from Mwave.com (yes i said $15k!) they rule!
I have never had a bad deal withthem, one thing they have overNewEgg...S-h-i-p-p-i-n-g!
They dont overcharge for it!
I did a comparison of them vs. newEgg and i have yet to get a better deal for comparable items at newegg.

Dunno about anybody else, but I wasn't going to ask. Didn't want to scroll.

I, too, am curious about the perf. And are they Samsung chips? I have some Samsung PC2700 on generic PCB that seems to be just fine, thinking about getting another stick. But I'm also considering $124 True Samsung with free s-h-i-p-p-i-n-g at NewEgg, which would cost me a total of $16 more after s/h....

I just got my stick in today. It's some memory name I've never heard of before. CL2 up to 133MHz. CL2.5 up to 167MHz. BUT...................................

I have it running with my stick of 512MB Samsung DDR333 at CAS2 in my Epox 4G4A with no problems. Ran Prime95 all morning with it.

Newegg tends to offer free shipping on products, which are, in comparison to mwave, lower priced. MWave never offered free shipping. However, I must agree that Mwave is a great retailer, which certainly has competitive prices across the board and very good shipping rates, especially on larger orders.

I've ordered from both mwave and newegg on a number of occasions, and I really like both of them.
However, I more often than not buy from newegg since I'm in the southeast. Their FedEx shipping
is reasonable, and it's MUCH quicker than sending mwave's packages across the US using UPS ground.
I really like jumping on newegg's deals when they have free FedEx shipping. Yeah, they may inflate their
prices a bit, but it's worth it.
