it's like one side of archetype without the removable rubber base. it's thinner and only have 1 roughness instead of 2 like archetype which you can flip.

also hugs the desk surface better because it's more flexible, but that can either help or hurt the pad.

for the GS, i think 1-2yr lifespan is acceptable for a $10 mousepad. at least when you replace it you will have a brand new pad instead of having the same old dirty pad for years for more expensive ones.

I agree with that statement. I've used Ratpadz for years and i'm sick of them wearing out and having to buy a new one.

I switched over to the Icemat pad and it's much slicker and never wears out. No plastic pads for me anymore!

yes, less noticeable but it does get shiny. imo archetype lets u try out what kind of roughness you would like to stick to and then you can go for the F serie to get a bigger, thinner pad.

and it is still OK on the surface's fabric .. just the back look like sh..
.. you know
