NMB is a major Japanese brand, made by Minebea Co., Ltd. NMB is especially famous for their high-quality (and high-priced keyboards used by Dell).

These are brand new products. If not for the wrong connector (turning bare leads), they would be sold for $10 or more!

9x9 cm (92mm) ball bearing case cooling fan, system cooler / blower. Additional Case Cooling fan, comes with bare wires / leads. Chromed finger guard / grill is optional. Make sure your PC stays cool all the time. Also used in rack-mount cases and industrial PCs. OEM Bulk pack.

Directron has these for 39¢ ea.

Great deal! I use NMB 80mm fans in my systems and they're pretty much silent. The airflow is pretty decent, but it isn't the best out there. It shoudln't really matter too much unless you've got a really hot system, though. If silence is more important to you than speed, pick these up.

Since these come with bare untailed wires how exactly do we use/connect them? Do we need to buy separate molex connectors for these or anything like that? Looks like a very nice deal

Oh yeah here's the link to the specs
I'm still a little confused on which model this fan is exactly. The directron site doesn't seem to have the cfm specs for this and the spec sheet I linked has like 6 different series and variations for this model 3610KL

Can anyone clarify this for me

Thanx

Per Directron: "The original fan came with a four-pin connector, which can work with a PC with some tweaking - aligning the correct pins and reversing the red and white pins. For simplistic reasons, we sell these fans as bare leads. You can cut the existing connector yourself." Myself, I'd probably solder and heat-shrink with some spare parts.

These were probably a special run for an OEM. I was wondering which model they are, also. This series can be throttled down to 6V, so that's good.

The 3.5" cages in Antec SX10xx cases will hold a 92mm fan, with some shimming. NMB is a good name, I'm tempted by this offer, but it's kind of a "grab bag" situation.

PS: Minimum order: $3.00

Never will understand why people don't use the ¢ symbol in posts to remove all ambiguity.

Is it better with the ¢ sign now? LOL!

Thanks, used to have it bookmarked but it got lost in the re-formatting.

I also bought a bunch of these back when they were $.59... very good fans, though it's a shame you won't know which version (0.28A or 0.56A) you'll be getting. The .56A version is nice & quiet running from 5V (a la SVC fan adapter), but perhaps at 5V it's a little less airflow that you want from a 92mm fan, of couse there's always 7V.

I certainly can't guarantee which connector(s) Directron's current batch of fans has, but this pic shows the .56A version I received. The connector does have same pin-spacing as a motherboard header, you can swap the pin locations and chop off the extra two positions with a knife. The third wire is rotor-lock, not RPM, and the thermal diode on mine isn't an appropriate value for case cooling, needs be much hotter to vary RPM like exhausting from a PSU.

The .28A version had chrome grill but a different plug which could still be used on a mobo fan header but requires a bit more whittling to work. and a wire needed cut.

Edit: However due to the short lead length, "used on a mobo fan header" more likely means "used with PSU adapter fan header"

Yes, i remember i post this fan at 59 cents when its sept last year. Looks that directron is unable to unload them.
The .56A verison is just too noisy even you are running at 7v after you "hear" it for a while.
