AGP
PCI

They're sold out of AGP version online, but if you type in zip code, you can check to see if there are any in your local CompUSA.

this is only warm in my opinion. about a month and a half ago you could get this card for $100(give or take a few dolars) at best buy.

Those of you who own the card, could you tell me its dimensions?
I would like to put this inside this Case

My size limitations are 95mm in width and 150 mm in length.
Otherwise nice deal, especially if you can pricematch with Amex....

decent deal if you do an amex blue pm with some dealers that sell it for ~140, that's $90 after rebate...i'm too poor though

Look closely at the rebates before you buy. Both the $20 and the $30 mail-in rebates are for the PCI card - sku # 278469 - only. If you purchase the AGP version, all you will get is the $20 instant rebate. So, AGP = $179.99, PCI = $129.99

Hmm, this *IS* a little strange...I'm assuming that there must be rebate forms for the AGP version and CompUSA.com just incorrectly linked them. Either way, it seems like you should be able to get your $50 on the AGP version from CompUSA because it specifically states that after 2 rebates it will cost $129.99. I will probably swing by a store and check this out...

By the way, Wasssup, where can you find the retail version of this card for ~$140 and does Amex Blue make you pricematch with a legit website, or will they take anybody??

Thanks,
Fiend

I'm running one with XP drivers, works great, not a bad gaming card either. I can run Wolfenstein at high resolution 32 bit at very playable framerates.

When I bought my AGP last week I pointed out the PCI only rebate coupon to the manager vs. the AGP & PCI ad in the paper. She said that to just bring in my declined rebate postcard and they would give me the cash. Being as naive as I am, I bought the card. But I'm saving the full ad, extra original rebate slips, and my receipt in a safe place. I would suggest everyone do the same.

They're trying to dump the PCI cards and I think the ad was a misprint. Fortunately I AMEX Blue'd it and they will let you return unreturnable items for 60 days.

I noticed the same inconsistency in the rebate coupons. I called CompUSA customer service and the rep told me the rebate would be honored for the AGP version as well.

I had two ATI / CompUSA rebates denied last year for the $60 PCI AIW128 deal, but an e-mail to ATI got me the checks within two weeks ... hope things are as easy this time.

P.S. The CompUSA cashier offered me the purchase protection plan for ~ $20 but I declined as a reflex.

Got to thinking later -- the plan promises a free upgrade to an equivalent product if the item you purchased is no longer available ...

Maybe that $20 could have swung a free upgrade to a Radeon 8500 AIW a few years down the road ...

if you use the dell stackable coupons, you can get this card for close to the same price without dealing with the rebates.

Then go to CompUSA, buy the card, get the rebate forms and receipts. Then return the card to CompUSA. Bam!!! Now the card is ~$79
