Interesting... mine orders disappeared this morning to, so I called Dell Figured I might as well make them work to blow me off!

Anyway, I didn't get into any speaker-specific details, just general order questions. They have another way to view orders other than the link that they provide in the confirmation email:

- Go to www.dellcustomercare.com

- Click on check status

- Click on Order Status

- Under Multiple Order Status at the bottom, click Customer or Account Number

- Enter you customer number, BUT LEAVE OUT THE LEADING ZERO (0)

- click submit

At this point my orders showed up as in-processing with an estimated ship date of 12/21 - just as they had been before. When I included the leading zero in my account #, no orders were found.

My single order has vanished today, but also has all of the emails I have recieved from Dell. I use hotmail and I had 2 sets of two conformations each (one for speakers, one for NICs) I also had two emails confirming oder watch where they email you when your order ships, today those emails are GONE but no others are missing. Has this happened to anyone else? I had no idea hotmail allowed this?

Thanks ajf3 - My order had also disappeared this morning. I was about to call when I saw your message - my order does reappear w/o the leading "0". My order again showed up as in-processing with an estimated ship date of 12/21.

Based on all of the order's I've read that are shipping on the 21st, they'd better have a fleet of trucks ordered.

Don't worry, Dells online system is f@cked today. If you check your order status at any one time it may or may not show up. This does not have any relevance on the actual status of your order(s).

I know this sounds crazy, but the same thing that happened to erikishere happened to me. I was using netscape.net for my email account and one of the two order conformations I got disappeared. I made sure not to delete it.. Has this happened to anyone else??

My order got totally lost, even though I have an acknowledgement I don't have a "confirmation" so it is lost in the ether. I did ask them to take the hold off of my credit card, but after five days it falls off anyway... I ordered last week sometime. The deal was starting to get cold, but the speakers were still listed so I went for it. Oh well...

Order #1: For a bunch of NICs and a bunch of cables, no longer exists and I never got an order #.
Order #2: For Altec-Lansings, still in production, ship date of 12/27
Order #3: More NICs and a toolkit - "Cancelled as per your request" (request my a$$)

Hopefully the fate of #3 wont befall Order #2!!!

I called Dell around noon ET today (Mon.)and said my 2nd order made last Wed. shipped, but haven't recieved the 2nd e-mail for the first-ADA880 and photo paper done on the same day and it's not on the web. I gave the CSR my e-mail address and she found the "missing order". All 250 j/k, er It will now ship 12/27 and the e-mail came about 5-10 minutes later.

Checked my account around 4 PM CT this afternoon and all was well, still waiting for "production" to finish. Just checked my DELL account and NOTHING is there anymore...no trace, nada. My AE still shows "in process", though. I received my confirmations, also. Hmmm

Dell is all F'ed up!!
I have 2 orders that I placed last Wed 12/12 that I received 1st emails, but no 2nd emails.
I called to find out what the hell is going on and finally after being on hold forever,
this CSR actually locates the orders that I placed, but he says it still has to be processed,
which is why I didn't receive 2nd email yet (Confirmation w/order #). He said they are very backed up.
He said "the refurbished speakers were a big reason". LOL!! I bet!!

So, I am still hoping that they eventually come thru once they get their sh!t together!!

My speakers order currently shows "in production." I received both an order acknowledgement e-mail and a confirmation e-mail from Dell. My NIC/802.11b Belkin order shows every backordered with a scheduled ship date of 12/21. Who knows what will happen....
