With conjur and Dasterdly. They 'updated' (LOL) the order status saying that the NEW ship date is 1/2/2002. Next will be the 15th, then the 18th, then God knows what else. I think this deal might be dead, but I'm still holding out hope (just in case) otherwise, there's a nice set of speakers at CompUSA for $14.99 (2.1 setup) chosen as the official speakers of the PGL (like 3 years ago though, but hey, it still holds some bragging rights)

UPS ship notification just shows that billing information has been transmitted to UPS, nothing about actual tracking. This is so wacky, I can't wait to give Dell a piece of my mind if they revoke this after two weeks of expecting a shipment.

I had two separate orders (1 ea) minutes apart about the same time as jtallon (~6 A.M. CST), one shows a ship date of 12/21/2001, the other order had the shipping date revised to 01/02/2002.

This is total bull$hit. I ordered a few seconds after this was posted and got my order cancelled, while people who ordered 2 days later already got theirs. Those who already got theirs shipped: please PM me your order numbers so I can kill some monkeys if they tell me they didn't ship any.

The speakers look perfect with all the origional packaging, etc.

If they were ever out of the box they must have had an expert repack them.

They only had the origional altec lansing tape broken on the outside of the box.

Have not yet tested them out as these are for my boys on the 25th.

Might be a dumb question, but is there a way to look at UPS's websited and see if there are any packages being shipped to you (without having a tracking number, just entering your address)? I'm wondering how some of you have seen that you have packages coming but don't have tracking info yet. TIA.

It could be that she ordered only 1 set. My order number is way before hers yet mine has no status change. Maybe Dell shipping policy is based on how many orders they can complete given the stock amount. Single orders would do that. I ordered 2, so that could be it. Then again, it might just be random.

i'd be willing to guarantee that this is how they are handling it. they know they cant' fill all the orders, so they'll look to satisfy as many people as possible, to minimize the number of complaints, thus minimizing the amount of their time/money used to handle the customers that didn't receive their order.

i guess if we want to screw them, we could just call a few times everyday.

well, my status changed, and my In Production order just went back to nothing. Not even order processing. the ship date disappeared. i'm guessin this is dell's version of a cancellation, unless they are just now shipping it and it takes awhile for the status to change (yeah right)

Auxano ordered on 12/13 her number is lower and she already got it???

She is lucky. Auxano go buy a lotterry ticket too .

I placed 2 orders on 12/12 and 12/13. The first order includes 2 sets while the second has only one set. The first order (71807xxxx) still shows in production and expected to ship tomorrow. The second one (71930xxxx) is also in production and expected to ship on 12/26. The status of both orders has never been changed since I received the confirmation emails for both orders. My fingers are still crossing bleedingly. Wish they really come and my little bro, gal, and myself will surely have a merry X'mas.
