Nope, that's not how it works. I ordered one set a few minutes after this deal was posted, and my order was already cancelled. They must be pulling order numbers out of Michael Dell's ass.

my orders are gone. I type in my order numbers and I no longer have a status or ship date. This sucks.

Mine is not canceled, but I had entered a name under "company name". Maybe everyone who left it blank is getting canceled? This was a sale out of the "small business" dept.

Very interesting assumption. I had my both orders with my company name on and both orderss are still good as of today.

Okay, I've been on hold for past 20 minutes to figure out what is going on. My order is now blank, just shows order date of 12/12/01 and production date of 12/12/01 with nothing green and no estimated ship date, just Service Part. This morning it still stated 12/21/01 estimated. I also placed my actual company name in. My order number is 717701xxx so there is no rhyme nor reason because I believe mine is earlier than someone who received theirs. I'll update once I get through on customer service.

Dell never shipped any ADA880s other than the 2 units that that had in stock on 12/10. Who got those who knows? I tried adding a pair of these to a Dell Dimension 8200 order that I placed in the early am EST on 12/12 when this deal was first posted and was told that there were none in stock and that they only had two pair of the refurbs since early October according to their PDR system. The Dell CSR confessed that the Dell inventory system is f@cked and to never trust any email correspondance from them or availaiblity listing in any of their ecommerce sites, but then again anyone who has been around here any amout of time already know this.

Does it make any sense that they are cancelling orders telling people there are not available, but extending delivery dates for others and doing nothing for others while allegedly shipping some ....... Oh Well -- Just Gotta Wait And See ! Oh, and my order was in my company name and is still scheduled to ship 12/21 (yea, right)

Both of my speaker orders are now cancelled; one was to be shipped tommorow! The warehouseperson was probably just about to pack my first order when it was wiped off the screen.

Now I am waiting for my two orders of Belkin nics (15 total) which are just "delayed" but will surely be shipped 12/24 as stated on my order status.

They are just cancelling litle by litle. So they don't have to handle all the complains at once.
Dell sucks. After some many price erros? they should have a better system by now.

I used a company name and mine were cancelled.

edit: little bit of a guess. Maybe dells award winning computer system is automatically extending the shipping dates because they haven't been able to get to everybodies order yet. So if you have an extended shipping date they just haven't got to your order to physically cancel it yet. Just a thought.

Okay, spent almost an hour on the phone. Sales person said I should have recieved an e-mail, may have but at home, telling me my order cancelled. He stated it was an error on the web site and actually said he had a customer today ordering 100 or so. All he could do is apologize and offer me the next step up speakers at $200 with 25% off. For some reason that doesn't appear to be a better deal. I asked if any were shipped and he said no. What bothers me is what took so long to figure this out on their part? Probably passed up some other okay deals on speakers because I had this order in. Oh well, does anybody have a recommendation on a 4.1 set of speakers for say $50?

I would say to all that haven't had your order canceled, it soon will be. If you don't see a estimated ship date then most likely it is cancelled and the web site doesn't say that.

I just checked the status page w/ the "green arrows" that indicate where your order is at. The green arrow was stuck on "In Production" for a long time. Today all the green arrows were gone! I thought my order was cancelled, but I noticed that the last arrow said "Shipped". When I click on it it says:

"Your order has been shipped and was en route to its ship-to destination as of the "Ship Date" indicated.

Delivery time varies based on the shipping option chosen at the time of order entry. Your order will generally reach its intended destination within 2-5 business days of the "Ship Date" noted."

Does this mean what I think it does???

There's no estimated ship date or tracking number on the page, though. For those of you who got it, did the same happen to you?

I got the tracking # from the box - to track it backwards(LOL)!

I had an order cancelled and all the green arrows changed to grey!!

BTW - Anyone can click on the "shipped" step and receive the same message that you received.
It's just explaining what happens in that step. You can click on the others as well!!
