well i keep all the parts they send me i dont send it back i sell it back it on ebay make some $$$ because of the pain in the ass they caused me i dont have any choise.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dell is so slick...I called CS and wanted to know what went wrong...I was told that I could get the speakers at the price of $230....to go on the dell site and order them at that price and thats the only way I could get the speakers...also I had ask if any speakers were already shipped and do they anticipate a shipment to all those who ordered....He said ( no speakers were shipped at that price, and will not be shipped at that price...come to find out the guy himself ordered the set as well as several of his friends I was told this verbatim )Dell placed them at the wrong price, and the manufacturing manager stopped production of these speakers at that price. I was told that several people have taken legal action, and the legal litigation department has already contacted the BBB to explain the situation of a misquote on price thus not being responsible to honor the speakers...............I am wondering if a company has to honor its advertisement..like you go into a store about a product to buy a item thats listed and the price is wrong ..you cant just ( Bait and switch)..thats illegal .....I do belive that they have to until they post a NOTICE in the newspaper, or some other way of submitting a legal notice......please correct me if I out of place I accept the correction .......thats all folks

Uniklife: Im sure on their webpage somewhere it says "Dell is not responsible for errors in price on this page blah blah blah" which means that yes, they are legally right.
Everyone should quit whining if you dont get your speakers oh well. I ordered some also, I dont expect them, if I do get them then merry xmas to me, if not then life goes on. If I was in their position there's no way in hell Id honor it.

You can always refuse the package no matter what is inside. The shipping fee will only be charged one way. Since Dell offered you free shipping, then you don't have to pay nothing.

This is too strange.... I see that some people have had their order shipped and some people have had orders cancelled, some people say it was a price error it should have been $200.00. What is the real story people!?!

All I know is that I haven't recieved a cancelation e-mail and that it still shows in production to ship by 12/21/01.

Just called Dell and the operator told me that I should receive mine on the 21. We'll see about that .

It would be nice if the 2 people that claimed their speakers have shipped would post an order number if/when you receive your speakers. If Dell tries to say no speakers were shipped, then we'ld at least have some proof that they did indeed ship some speakers out at that price.

I would just like to add that dell has some pretty good customer service. I emailed them asking for them to change the shipping address because I wouldn't be at my dorm during their scheduled ship date so they changed the shipping address for me. Then they also changed the shipping type to ground because I had paid for 2nd day...but that was only because I thought I was going to receive them fast.

My order status is still in production. I ordered on early 12/12.

I don't understand why people always think about taking legal action when they couldn't get something that they're not supposed to get.. If you could get it at the mispriced price, you're lucky. If not, why don't just go back to your normal life.

That's sort of odd - I placed an order for one of these early on the 12th (6am CST), and they just bumped back my estimated ship date from 12/21/2001 to 1/2/2002. That seems to imply to me that they actually plan on shipping something... I would have expected to see the order cancelled outright, or at least to have an e-mail sent out by this point in time...
