when I asked if they had a certain PC Case in stock, the guy asked me "what do you mean?" I said, you know, just the case for a computer with nothing else. "Um, yeah i've never heard of those. I don't think we carry any."

If you live near Nashville, the Staples in Franklin/Cool Springs has 5 of these left in stock. None of the other stores in Nashville carry them. Was 6 but I stopped by today at lunch and bought one - Thanks usernamemax20charact for this smokin' ot deal !

My region doesn't seem to sell these in store. What are the chances of ordering this online and then PM'ing to the pricetag scan?

Thanks!

I don't think they'll do the pricematch. I've tried before and they tell me (also printed on the price tag) that clearance prices are only valid in-store. So the pricematch is a YMMV. However, another option would be to go into a store and have them locate a store that does have it in stock, then have them do a "Save The Sale," which basically means that they'll transfer the item from the store that has it either to the store where you're at or they'll send it to your home, free of charge. This is usually done when a store is out of stock on a particular item and another store has it.

I've done this before on some hot deals and it's really simple. Of course, you'll have to pre-pay for it too.

Is this case really that great? I know that the price is well below what you'll find even at NewEgg but it doesnt look all that impressive. I've only seen small pics of it and never seen it in real life. What is the big selling feature of it?

It's well-constructed, quiet, has a nice finish, and comes with an Antec TruePower 380W P/S.

Oh, and I checked the Sacramento area yesterday, and there were 2 left (as of 5pm yesterday) at the south sacramento (freeport) location (and apparently nowhere else in the area)

So basically its a great PS - Case combo at a good price? Kind of a good bang for your buck deal?

Man there are a million of reviews of this case on the net. Good in-depth ones from major sites (Tech Report, Ars Technica) that are all favorable. I would go as far to say that this is currently the most popular mid sized case. The power supply alone costs $60 currently at Newegg.

Google is a cold, but sure friend...

techreport.com

www.arstechnica.com

www.procooling.com

www.pcabusers.com

www.overclockers.com.au

www.silentpcreview.com

And of course, I'll also give my own weighty recommendation as well!

Dang now that makes me want it even more and I cant get it now from staples. I already called all the local ones. Do you think this would work between different STATES? "Save The Sale,"?

Great deal! I found one at my local Staples. The shelf said $129 but I took it to a cashier and it rang up $77.50

i was also at the coolspring store at franklin, tn, today. they still had 4 or 5 left. i didn't buy one. i was planning on special ordering the antec overture case from staples, but it's not currently in stock. i'm planning on using the case for my htpc, and thought the overture might fit better next to my dvd player. i finally gave in and ordered the sonata case over the phone. i had staples pricematched to the local store price no problem. i think the sonata has better cooling than the overture, and i can probably just hide it in the corner. i think if any local store in your area has this case in stock, you can order it on staples.com or over the phone and have them pricematch the local store no problem.

They wont do this. I tried to do it today and they said the for clearance items it wasnt possible. I even offered to pay the S&H and they said that clearance items the store sells below cost and so they would be transfering the product to sell it for negative profit. The manager said it reflects poorly on the store books.

Seattle (aurora location) $133 for a scratched up case and broken front panel. One hell of a deal there.....
Pretty nice for $77 if you can find it.

Lies! They just don't want to do it for you because it involves a bit of paper work, something they seem to hate doing. Especially if they won't be making a profit on it. I've had similar problems before until I called the corporate office on them -- did this for a cell phone one time and had it transfered from Arizona to California, and it was even shipped to my home for free. Sometimes you just have to go above the mamagers if the item is really worth it.

Another option is to speak to the district manager. Store managers will get chewed out if the district manager gets a complaint since their big thing is "Customer Service." And it doesn't sound like that's what you got.

Hey I was just looking for the Sonata case. Will you be using both of those or could I purchase one from you? I'm from the Beaverton area too.

It should be a P4 compliant psu. The one I got is. If yours isn't then I'd be pretty surprised since the P4 has been out so long that all psu should now be P4 compliant.

all out at Vacaville staples.

I was at Circuit City and I noticed their sign said $99 after MIR, but the MIR expired 2/07 or something. I wonder if they would let me have it for $99 OTD if I pointed out their "sorta false advertising"
