are you kidding me? this is VERY hot. i bought my 190T for 200, 170 is a grrreat price for this player. its the best flash based mp3 player you can get (unless you want the 512mb version) IMO. soo many features (voice recording, radio recording, real-time mp3 encoding, etc.) and it looks sweeeeeet

this is hot. if you're set on this item, this is the lowest price i've seen on it. ever. yes, only 256mb storage, but it's small, firmware upgradeable, functions as a storage device for other file formats, and runs forever on 1 AA battery. i love mine and am sorry i paid $10.00 more for it than this price AR.

Jeez, alot of guys say this is not hot, well I challenge you to find a lower price on this item and I dare say for you to find a company that's selling a 256MB FLASH player that has such a good rep as IRiver with quality Sennheiser earphones and all the great specs such as FM tuner, DIRECT MP3 encoding, and voice recording. I bought mine yesterday and it's amazing, sure you could get a HD based MP3 player, but for someone like me (I snowboard, run, workout, run, etc.), I need something that is absolutely jiggle-proof. I've bought a 20GB Archos player, and it's good for being lazy and sitting in my chair listening to music, but it's definitely not good for my active lifestyle. Besides, you definitely cannot compare the two technologies- flash and HD based MP3 players if $200 can buy you a 20GB HD MP3 player or a 256MB player and you say the 20GB is better because it's bigger that's like saying you want to buy an H2 over an NSX because it's a bigger car. Sure you can go off-roading and be comfortable, but can you race? SOME people expect their players to meet different demands, and just because they don't align with your demands doesn't mean you should flame this deal. DO your research first THEN flame! And stop with all the insults, this is a tech forum, not a place to vent off your angst because your job sucks and you don't get any. J/K!

Why don't you try jogging regularly with your 10GB hard disk-based mp3 player? Or any vigorous activity. Give it a couple of months. Remember to regularly map out your bad disk blocks. Run Chkdsk regularly. Try a reformat. Send it back for "repair" a few times. Then get back to us.
