For those interested in the AMEX Platinum Cash Rebate Card, a few updates:
1) I recieved 3 copies of the MAIL-IN Application today from Amex. There's no mention on the appication of the BVG benefit.
2) There's a URL on the application intended to allow you to apply for the card on-line. Unfortunately, that URL takes you to an application page for the REGULAR Amex Cash Rebates Card:

3) The on-line BENEFITS PAGE of the Amex Platinum Cash Rebates Card no longer includes BVG:

Note: Actually, if you REFRESH the Benefits Page a bunch of times, it will occasionally come up w/ BVG. From what I've heard though (over at obese billfolder), the Amex Platinum Cash Rebates card no longer has BVG. Supposedly the
Optima Platinum Card will be losing BVG soon too; however, for the time being, it still has it.
Thereafter, the cheapest annual fee AMEX card w/ BVG is the
Starwood Preferred Guest Card from Amex which is free for the 1st year, $30 annual fee thereafter.
