Buyxtremegear has informed me that the motherboard that they are shipping IS NOT THE PRO II VERSION. Therefore this deal is DEAD. Even though my invoice did indeed say "Pro II" they are shipping the Pro version.

They ought not to be charging your restocking fees for exchanged merchandise, oughtn't they?

Not if it's defective. Actually, it's illegal for them to charge restocking fees on defective products, Best Buy got hit with this not too long ago.Originally posted by: huesmann They ought not to be charging your restocking fees for exchanged merchandise, oughtn't they?

Might be the DTR version which has the 1mb. If not they messed up.

A64 3000+ comes in two flavors:
2.0ghz 512k L2 cache
1.8Ghz 1Mb L2 cache
If possible, I'd try to get the 2Ghz part since cache doesn't seem to play as big of a role on the A64 and it makes that part VERY competitive with 3200+ to where differences are negligible at best
