Yes, I just spoke with someone about an hour ago via their live chat and he said they won't price match Microcenter. I read through their entire "Low Price Guarantee" policy and it makes absolutely no sense why they would say no. It clearly states that as long as it's a legitimate, well known retailer that they would price match ANY price so long as it wasn't something like a big sale, coupon, refurbished, etc. Microcenter's prices are their established everyday prices that are clearly advertised both on their site and in local ads so I'm not understanding how they can justify saying no?

Depends on who you get. If you are not near a microcenter, they typically won't match it since you can't get microcenters deal shipped and they know you won't drive there.

Just tried it..the person at bestbuy told me that the competitor with the lower price had to be within a 25 mile radius of them before they could price match.

Wish this would have worked for me as the nearest microcenter is a 4 hour round trip.

On a positive note I called a Frys which is only a 2 hour round trip and they said that they would price match microcenter..My luck I'd drive there and they'd say oops my bad and i'd be out of luck.

There still seems to be a catch here. You can't order Intel CPU's from Microcenter online. You can from Amazon and others but not at the MC price. I would bet most BBs would not pricematch to an out of area MC that you can't order the CPU online.

It's right there in the policy. 25 miles. You got lucky and talked to someone who either didn't care, or didn't know the policy.

Be glad you bought when you did, OP. Anyone notice that Microcenter just raised the prices on the 3770K and 3570K, to $250 and $190 respectively? Prices jumped when Haswell released.

They've priced match my Dell S2340M 23" IPS Monitor from newegg.

NewEgg had it for $139.99 + FS after coupon. When I told him, the deal for the monitor was already dead. Showed OOS on newegg's website. However he told me he'd still do it with no questions asked. I alsotried to scare him, saying i'd much rather return the one i bought from them and buy it off newegg and not have to pay taxes anyway if he couldn't, say something like that it sometimes helps. I was re-imbursed $35.

YMMV depending on the person you talk to and simply how your store honors there customers.

Like I said guys you need to get lucky and its worth a shot.the kid that took care of me treated me like he was making 50 bucks an hour working at best buy.it was like he wanted to make my day and gave me zero Hassel to get the micro center price.

Wow!!! and I was thinking about getting another one to build a system for my little cousin.I should of ordered 2 but Im glad it worked out either way and its still worth a shot to try at other best buys.I mean I could go into mine and order one for one of you guys and have it shipped to your home but Im not sure how the payment would be safe for both of us.
