I needed 2, but ordered 5 just because I can't resist a bargain. After I ordered I saw that they also sold LED's. I called the next morning and they were able to add these to my order. I'll see if I can use them in a mag light.

bump this great deal back up

I wonder how many fans they've gone through so far. I bought a case, wouldn't doubt they go through 2k of them.

Wouldn't doubt that someone already posted they had sold over 7000 as of 3/9.

Just be prepared to wait. I ordered mine about a week and a half ago and they finally sent me an email saying they will ship them on the 19th. Still it is worth the wait if they really quiet my machine.

This deal is awesome. I need some *quiet* 80mm fans for my pro audio amp. These, combined with the 7V mod should do the trick.

Just got my 10 in, five went straight into my workstation. Now the *only* thing I can hear in my comp is the hard drives. Those fans are friggin silent! I may just have to order more for the rest of my systems.

I put TWO in my SN45G and both together are more silent than the stock sunon and my temps dropped 4-5°C also!

How did you put two in there? Push/pull? (I have a SB51G, and would like to make it more quiet - especially the PSU fan...)

These fans are not quiet at 12V u have to do a 7V or 5V trick to make them quieter. At 5V they r viruality inaudilbe.

There are only two fans that i can think of that are quiet at 12V. Nexus and Acoustifans

That's weird, they say it has speed/RPM sensing and a three pin connector but the pic shows the L12 with only two wires instead of three?

Okay, I finally got my order and yes I'm pretty sure these fans do have RPM sensing. There are three small pins in the center of the fan. The tail coming off them only connects to all 3 but only uses 2 of the wires. I bought a couple of these from Directron awhile back for a price I'm embarrassed about, but they have the tails needed to turn them into 3 pin speed/RPM sensing fans.

Here's a link to the pic of the tail. I'm sure someone knows of a place that doesn't want to charge us as much for the tail as we're paying for the fans, but that person ain't me!

Anyone recognize this bad boy and know who sells 'em cheap?

3 pin tails[/quote]

Good heavens! You want I should read the whole thead

(I did catch it, of course right after hitting 'Reply'. I've ordered 10 tails, I wish they had the option to ship via 1st class mail instead of Priority Mail, but not too painful... at least not $3.99 each plus shipping like Directron.)

Even if you have a 3 pin tail, it won't monitor RPMs, unless these are different fans. I have a 3 pin tail that I bought because I thought that's all they needed. Apparently Panasonic saves money by having 3 pins on all of them, but they only "activate" the sensor on some fans.

thanks for the heads up. I called and ordered 10. Last time I bought these was more than 2 years ago. Sales rep looked up my old invoice, after shipping to CA only paying $3.00 more for the 10 fans. Coincidentally I'm told this is the first time they had Panaflo's for sale in the last two years. They received 14K and again as told they're nearly out.

Well, I could not resist and I bought ten fans for myself. I received the email confirmation but like other people it did not include the shipping costs. Strange thing though, I ordered March 23rd and nothing has showed up yet on my credit card(debit). Hope there are not sold out already.
