Regarding two rebates, I guess if you can use two different credit cards with different names and send it off to a different address. Else you'd be pushing it. Rebate states one household.

Okay, I gave in and ordered one. These speakers seem to have come out about 2 years ago. I found several reviews of these speakers and all were good. Shoot...usually for $23, you could only get cheap Labtec speakers. Currently I'm using my big stereo system which has a pair of 15" woofers (Realistic Mach II speakers). I may just use these Yamaha in my bedroom with a portable cd player.

Buy.com is just a front end etailer these days. The initial order process is automated. My guess is that a third party distributor is selling these speakers and handling the shipping.

Does anyone know if this can be done,I have a Audigy 2 Platinum EX ........I dont see how I could get a Front and Rear with out haveing Digital 4.1, 5.1, or 6.1

Yeah, me too. I keep replacing my "hot deals free after rebates" speaker systems with the latest deal. I'm currently using the Logitech Z-540 4.1 system. Anyone know how the Yamahas would compare to that? Sounds like the Yamahas are a much better 2.1 system, but the Logitechs are a good integrated 4.1 system.

You're also not choosing the shipping that costs $"0.00" its the very first one on the list. The $20 shipping is the one highlighted. Choose the free one.

I have had these speakers for two + years as well and I have to say they are very nice. I bought them for $109 dealer cost at the time, and if I had to replace them I would not hesitate again to pay that for them.

I too have had these speakers for 2+ years. I bought them used on eBay and have been satisfied with them to the fullest extent. I previously had Creative Satellite speakers and the Altec Lansing ACS-33 model and these blow them away. The subwoofer is more powerful than any subwoofer/speaker combo I've seen for under $100. You won't be disappointed.

Well, I tried to order some for my roommate but the free shipping option isn't working. Is the item under 20 lbs? Every time I add it, even with budget shipping I still get a $20 charge added to the total.

Be careful guys ...

Buy.com is one of the worst retailers that I have ever seen. I always had a very bad experience with them. They have a tendency to "sit on your order for days, and punish you for selecting free shipping". Their customer service is quite horrible ... very rude. In case you have to RMA anything ... be prepared to pay shipping and handling ... and take an asprin.

Also they have a tendency to rip unsuspecting customers in many "novel" ways. For example, they have the same product (Memorex lens cleaner Mfg Part#: 3202-8003) for two different prices advertised on their web-site. A person not searching enough would get stuck with the more expensive one!

Hope ... it never happens ... but in case there is a problem with your speakers ... then you lost your money. Do you know that buy.com charges money to talk to you about your existing orders. Email support is free....if you can find a way to send it (the help page is specifically designed to discourage it). I have seen companies charging money for post sale support, but these guys start it from pre-sales.

As somebody pointed out in reviews at resellerratings.com .... buy.com should send a free T-Shirt with every order saying "I shopped at Buy.com - It sucks to be Me!"
