I'm looking at the copy of my form that I mailed in and it is good between 11/27/03 & 2/1/04. Must be mailed in by 2/16/04 and received by 2/23/04. I mailed my rebate last week. It is $50 and I paid $88.50 after shipping for the printer. Used a $15 off $100 code at time of purchase. I also picked one up a few weeks back from buy.com for $37.74 ar & shipping. These are nice printers for the money. Built in 5 card flash reader and usb port.

Did anyone order the Canon s530D Photo Printer from OfficeMax? It's the killer deal printer... 250MSRP printer for 100 - 50 rebate, with memory card slots and LCD, but OOS. Mine was ordered a few days ago but still shows as CBO as order status.

Could anyone also tell me if the Epson C42 is a decent printer to order for 39.99 from OfficeMax, no rebates. Dual ink tank and decent resolution. Some area already shows as CBO, some still available.

You should also use the 12% customer appreciation as well. I heard this was YMMV but it worked for me without any problems. Got mine on Sunday (12/14) for $24.44 AR.

Math:
$100.77 ($99.98 + tic tac)
- $12.00 (12% appreciation)
- $20.00 ($20 off $100 coupon)
+ $5.67 (8.25% tax)
- $50.00 (rebate)

I ordered one from Staples using a 20 off 100 coupon, showed in stock and all was good. Today I got an email saying the order was cancelled, called and found they decided it was out of stock after all, but the dumb bastards still sent my filler paper clips. CSR was going to issue a courtesy coupon for me (since the one I had expired on the 14th when I placed the order) but I had trouble finding my original code. Anyway, while looking for the one I used on FW I found an in store 20 off 100 one and just had him look up stock in some local stores for me. I go in, and supposedly one was sold that morning and the other was just the display model (there were supposed to be 2 in stock). Anyway, I have the manager to the point where he is going to have one delivered from another store to me when in walks some dude returning the exact printer. The box was opened, but all contents were there and all seals were intact--printer never used. The manager offered to take 10% off the top for it being open while I drill the customer why he returned it. So, after that 10%, my 20 off 100 coupon, and the $50 MIR, my total paid comes out to $26 after tax.

I'd like to point out that any of you should be able to achieve the same deal (or slightly better, technically) because there appears to be some sort of 12% customer appreciation discount at B&M and since there is this B&M 20 off 100 coupon floating around now it makes it a bit easier than the prior in-store kiosk method. Check FW for details.

Anyone get their rebate or confirmation yet? Mine got "RETURN TO SENDER NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED" from the postman out in AZ. I double checked the address and it's the same as on the coupon. Is it a fluke or did OD pull the old bait and switch?

I agree. What if you genuinely wanted paperclips AND the printer but since the printer order was canceled, they never bothered sending you the paperclips then. What then?

I was just at the Falls Church, VA Staples and there were at least 3 Canon i470D?s left. The boxes are not directly across from the printer display. They are on the top of the shelves at the back of the store (towards the front of the back section actually) on the same side of the aisle as the printer display.

I don?t need one for myself, but thought this might help someone else.

I just installed my first generic black cartridge refill for the i470d, from megatoners.com. After using Canon tanks the first couple of times around, I have to say the results are disappointing. Even sans serif text looks blotchy and not crisp compared to the genuine article, as if the droplets are spreading out or smearing. Whereas the Canon tanks produced text that looked almost as good as a laser, these generics scream inkjet. The output can be improved somewhat by setting the Windows print properties to High instead of Standard, but it's still not comparable.

I'm kinda bummed about it. This printer has produced thrilling color digiital image prints, but now I'm wondering if I'm going to have to resign myself to paying the much higher price for the Canon cartridges or else put up with this blurriness. Anyone know of excellent generics at a good price for this printer?
