A few things to point out!
The printer is good, no doubt. However, it does not include a USB cable (which is necessary to get this thing running). It operates great at USB 1.1 and 2.0.
I happened to find this monitor at staples on the blackfriday deals for 99.99 - 50 rebate = 49.99 which is a deal at that point. Fry's in my area printed an ad selling theirs for 49.94 w/ no rebate, so I ended up getting the printer for $4.43 including tax! I would recommend this PRINTER to any of my friends.

I got one a couple weeks back when buy.com had it for ~$35 AR. It's a great printer for the price, though I'd like to affirm that it does NOT ship with a USB cable as mentioned above. It does not compete with newer 'photo' printers around these days, but it's certainly worth the money I paid

is anyone having a problem ordering this thing? I've tried a dozen coupons so far, and they all seem to ignore that I have the i470d in my cart. They only think the order is .48, which is for the binders.

It's cuz the coupon codes you're using aren't for "tech" items. OD gives out coupon codes that are only good for non tech items like furniture, paper, whatever. But there should be a 15 off code that will work. the big ol' wallet should show you the way. They've been talking about this printer deal since this morning as well.

Picked one up a couple hours ago for a Christmas present for the in-laws. I got one of these on the buy.com deal a few weeks ago. It works great. For $35 you can't complain. It also has a built-in 5 card flash memory reader. These are $25+ w/o a printer attached. I was getting tired of buying HP ink and my wife prints a lot off the net so I wanted a cheap printer with cheap generic ink for that. I recommend these to anyone needing a cheap printer for everyday needs. JMO

BTW, if it says out-of-stock try someone else's zip code. My zip showed OOS but my brother's didn't, so I'm having it shipped to his house. I know guys here at work that live just down the street from each other but have different zip codes. One shows in-stock and the other OOS.

I'm in afterall. I added it to my cart, said low availability not available. I clicked back order then proceed to checkout. Chose in-store pickup and then it appeared. I ended up using the $15 off coupon I found at XPBargains.

Total was ~$40 after tax and rebate. Not too bad. Will work well with that 5mp camera santa is gonna bring.

Does it come with both black and color ink carts? I know that may sound like a silly question, but I've seem some deals on printers where they didn't. Does this model have two places for carts so you don't have to switch?

jes bought me this like 5 days ago and was actually thinkin bout posting this myself.

oh well i got lazy. anyways, OD is being slow and i still havent gotten it yet. but from the reviews, it seems that this unit is as cheap as it getse when it comes to refilling inks. bout $9 for b/w, and $13 for color.

it prints bout 140 color copies or something... bout 10 cents a sheet. when u think about it this way... i guess its 1/2 off getting it printed in the stores.

boy i cant wait to get this printer

I'm well satisfied with the quality so far. I went ahead and went to Best Buy and got 2 new ink cartridges and got the free pack of photo paper they're advertising... (Buy 2 canon ink carts and get a free 120 pack 4"x6" glossy photo paper) Nice deal to complement the new printer....

Decent price for a decent printer I'd say.
