I just received this email:
RE: Order(s): XXXXXXX
CatalogCity.com and MasterCard Exclusives Online (MEO) recently collaborated
in a promotion that sent a special email offer to 50,000 specially selected
recipients. We've subsequently received your order and it has been sent to
Office Max for fulfillment. However, upon review of all orders received, it
appears that you may have been improperly presented this offer by an
unauthorized third party because we don't find you in our record of
accounts.
Unfortunately, the inappropriate actions of some create hassles for us all.
If you feel that we are in error and you did receive the offer from MEO
legitimately, please reply to this email by November 15th advising us
accordingly and we will do the research necessary to validate your account
and credit you appropriately. When you reply, please respond using the
email address where you received the original MEO offer and include your
order number(s). If we do not hear from you by November 15th, in lieu of
the $20 "cash-back" credit otherwise due on the order, we will credit your
CatalogCity.com account with four (4) $5-off coupons that can each be used
on a future purchase of $50 or more from any merchant at CatalogCity.com.
Thank you for your understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience and
remind you that you may take advantage of Office Max's very liberal return
policy and return your purchase to them for a full refund if this unusual
circumstance causes you to reconsider your purchase. Please don't hesitate
to contact us if you have any questions whatsoever.
Sincerely,
Customer Service
