if you live in orange county and LA areas you can get Chinese beef jerky at this price at most of the chinese/viet bakery stores.

got my Tillamook order last week and the FortuneJerky on Mon this week.
The Tillamook stuff is just okay, kinda oily though. I ordered all the flavors and some of the beefsteak nuggets.
(I still prefer Oberto's brand beef jerky though, it's drier).

The FortuneJerky is pretty good, I'm digging the Hot flavored cubes, and they gave me a free 4oz. SuperHot! jerky. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks darn hot. (maybe you get free 4oz? for orders over $30?)

cheers,
Gabe

Do their beef jeryky cubes come in any other flavor besides hot? On their site, the flavor is not selectable for it. I ordered hot jerky and cubes, I thought they included hot cubes cause that's the flavor I ordered on the other jerky. Maybe you can specify cube flavor in comment box?

Bah, didn't see the new 25% off code when I finally gave in and ordered 1 of each flavor and cubes today. Hopefully I will receive the free jerky at least~ And as someone mentioned above 10% code is useless unless you order alot since you can only use one coupon code and shipping is kind of expensive but with the new 25% code "feedmejerky" (reminds me of cheat code from star/warcraft) you might save more with it. Since I was in such a jerky kinda mood today, ordered some from Tillamook as well. 6 pounds of nothing but jerky~ Yum~! Can't wait till I sink my teeth into it~ By the way is beefjerky a taxable item? Trying to figure out why tax was added to food item...

25% code? Did I miss something?

Also, I picked up a package of Bridgeford beef steak nuggets at the grocery store this week. An obvious ripoff compared to this place, but I noticed that it said to refrigerate after opening. Do you have to refrigerate the cubes that Fortune Jerky sells as well?

Finally got my jerky from fortune jerky today. Ordered almost $40 worth but no free jerky though... I still can't figure out what they mean by POSSIBLE free jerky. Do they roll a nice whenever they get an order in to determine who get a free jerky or something? Anyway each 4oz package contains 3-5 solid strips of beef. I wish each piece was smaller so it would be easiler to eat but oh well~ As for the flavor, fruit flavor is the best I think. If you like it spicy super hot has good flavor and relatively hot as well. Normal and hot flavor weren't bad either. If you are going to order just 1 or 2 flavors, I recommend fruit, spicefruit, or super hot flavor. Fruit flavor one is moist and thick and has mild sweetness to it. Other flavors aren't as moist for some reason. Cubes were bit more drier than I expected but very convinient to eat due to size. Flavor is definately different from typical american jerkys and you might want to give it a try if you enjoy eating beef jerkys~

I've got 2 1/4 lbs coming my way. They should be here by Friday. I ordered 1/4 lb of each flavor and a pound of the cubes. Anyone who has ordered cubes - do you have to refrigerate them after opening?

Although cubes seem relatively dry for them to get spoiled, I am keeping it in the frige just in case. I would do the same for jerkys assuming you take your time to eat them after you open one. I personally opened all of them to taste each flavor and gone through 2 4oz bags and half of the cubes in a day... Salt overload~! On the goodside, by the time I am done with these jerky, Tillamook jerky should be here~ Hpefully I won't die early due to heart attack or high bp.

Just kidding!!!

When it is over 49% cat they can't call it beef jerky. Just make sure they are "free range" cats.

There are a lot of Free Range Cats in my neighborhood. Are they more tender than farm raised, or do they have more flavor?

Free range are more tender. Actually (and this is not intended to stereotype) a buddy of mine is a vp at Kelloggs, he did a long haul in China. They do eat a lot of weird animals there, including cats. He has a particularly bad story about dinner with some senior communist officials where it was basically a scene right out of indiana jones, where they put a live monkey in the middle of the table, then took turns hitting it in the head until it passed out. They then popped him open and...

Bon' Appetit!

That's so stupid, your friend stole that from "The Many Faces of Death" check it out at your local Blockbuster or netflix.

You got fooled

Whoa. I ordered $35 worth (two 1 pounders + a 4 oz) from the chinese place (fortunejerky) with 25% coupon + shipping. It came out to be $33 or so in the end. I got a reciept via email right away. Less than 45 minutes later I got a message saying that my ordered had shipped and it gave me a UPS tracking #.

Awesome.
