So anyone get there order yet?
I think people with the ship notices are referring to the tillamook jerky and not the chinese stuff.

nope, my chinese stuff shipped today, and i ordered yesterday. i assume it will get here tomorrow as i'm real close to the factory.

The whole MSG thing is just a myth. The human body produces over 8 teaspoons of it a day. Italian food (pizza, lasagna, spaghetti) contains more MSG than typical Chinese food with added MSG. So if you 'think' you have reactions to Chinese food because of MSG, eating pizza should kill you.

But in relation to the deal, nice deal!

Hey, thanks. I learned something. Being more informed is a good thing.
MSG facts

But I still try to not intake anything in excess

Picked up some of the chinese jerky also to try.
Thanks for the deal!

Nice link

I went ahead and order their hot flavored beef Jerky and their beef jerky cube (could not choose flavor for this one). I was tempted to try the fruit flavored one as it sounds interesting but then again do beef and fruit really mix?

I gotta admit though I didn't shop around at all, can I get this stuff cheaper in my local Chinatown?

Is the fat content higher on chinese beef jerky?? Generally, if meet is more tender it's got more fat, especially cheap meat. I'm a big jerky fan, but I've never even heard of chinese beef jerky. I'm anxious to see if anyone has received their order yet. On a side note, "Great Value" brand (Walmart) beef jerky occasionally goes on sale for $2 a bag (usually $3). While it tastes like cheap jerky, it still makes a decent snack for those long car trips, etc...

That's not jerky, its reformed hamburger, basically. But if you're happy with it that's all that matters.

Just order a couple of pounds. One thing that I noticed was that this site did not provide any encryption protection. So if you are using your credit card, do so on your risk (as I did ^^;.

Well you should use a virtual number if you are truely worried. Regardless, no worries on that score here. It comes up RC-4 encrypted (128-bit), which is good.

And "real" beef jerky is meant to be dual use so you can break off a peice of it and use it as a tooth pick if any of it gets stuck in your teeth.

actually fruit and beef DOES mix in terms of jerky..
the fruit tenderizes the meat even more and gives it a mild tangy sweetness.

woo hoo, it made it in time. initial thoughts: i was hoping itd be in resealable bags, but it isnt. oh well. i opened the spicy fruit bag and it smelled delicious. it looks funny. its got the meat and it looks like they sprinkle that shredded jerky that they used to sell(they still might) on it. its like a powdered(for lack of better words) meat coating on the outside. it is very tender and quite flavorful. it is spicy, but not overbearingly spicy and has a hint of a sweet flavor to it. the closest ive ever had to the flavor is the jack links sweet & spicy, but its far superior. i will get some more opinions and break into the cubed bag later. so far it seems to be worth the money.

I was at Sams club today and bought some beef jerky. Two 5.85 oz bags for $6.87....that's $9.39 a pound!

Good stuff to, they have regular and teriyaki.

It's Lowrey's big beef Beef Jerky.,..made in the USA ....Not too dry and stringy. I like it.

There's many jerky people here who enjoy tillamook jerky the most. I just ordered some, it's also free shipping over $35, and it's about $12 a pound if you buy the natural style 8oz bags.

Tillamook

I'm a bit of a Jerky lover myself and I can tell you that Tillamook is a VERY good jerky. We used to sell this stuff at our convenience store.

Their beef sticks are really good. I like Teriyaki the best. The TS silver dollar jerky is nice, because they fit in your mouth perfectly and you can suck on them for a while. The Natural Style is a bit tougher/drier than most jerkies (such as jack links), but the flavor more than makes up for it. I haven't tried their nuggets yet...

Tillamook is 10x better than that Jack Links crap.

Mine shipped yesterday and will be here Monday. I know this stuff is suppose to last a longtime in the original containers. But to make it keep all its flavor, can you package and freeze the stuff. If so, whats the best way to package it.

I have to say that I'm truly impressed by these guys' beef jerky. The flavor is superb! They also gave me a 4oz (1/4 lb) bag of Hot beef jerky, for free!
